vaporizer question

I was in Eckerd Pharmacy before and noticed there was an aisle that had some vaporizers. I know (obviously) these are not intended for weed, but I was wondering if they can be altered for this purpose. I was wondering if anyone has been crafty and figured out if this will work?? The big plus about this idea is that it would indeed be a good deal price-wise.. it was like $30, and it should work better than a lightbulb vaporizer.

Feedback is much appreciated, and if most of it seems negative, I will not buy it.

are you sure its a vapourizer? and not a humidifier or somthing? cause if so then its just a matter of turning up the heat, provided the bowl or substance chamber is adequete for the vapourization of weed

they had humidifiers too, but there were a few vaporizers. it was pretty weird, just walking through the pharmacy to buy deodorant and i see in big letters on one of the aisle signs "vaporizers," so i was like.. hmmm, i've got to check this out. i'm not sure if it has different settings for the amount of heat though, cause it's only intended to vaporize vicks something or other... so it might just have one setting (which hopefully is ideal for weed too).

oh no, u dont want a vicks vaporizer doooooooood, just take that 30$ plus tax and stick it in a pigy bank somewhere, and then next time u want to buy a vaporizer, take that money and put it with the 30, and then when u get 400$ roughly, then go buy the AroMed vaporizer and u wont have to worry about one of these millions of headaches... this is advise i wish i had before i lost 300$ on crap vaporizers./.. vape on!

Trust me, it won't work for weed. Basically, all those things really do is boil water/medicine to create steam(aka vapor). Completely different concept.

a vap works by heating up the weed just before it ignites/combusts. so i've tried vaporising with a crack pipe. i put a crutch on the stem end so that you don't suck in weed. to smoke it, you keep rotating the ball part around to get the weed all nice & toasty.. btw the weed turns brown. it did catch on fire when i heated it up too much. so it was really touchy. but pretty cool cuz it worked & i only spent probably $7 total for the pipe. they have them at smoke shops but not on display.

if you don't wanna try the pipe, i saw a wooden vaporizer pipe that was around $50. i'm sure you can find something online. if all else fails, i'd go with they guy who said save your $ to get a really nice vap. :)

hahaha, i see an fictitious statment on here... u notice that all that is said on behalf of volcano is that AroMed sucks, no specs are givin, or theory of operation shared, no, just "AroMed sucks"... but I vote we be happy for 1234, because he is happywith his new volcano, and i think that is great.. but realistically speaking, on a technical level that the AroMed is far more detailed, precise, and consisant.. here is a small example... on the volcano, your temp selection is 1-9, now who the hell is going to spend more than 100$ for that kind of temp setting? The volcano also has an aluminum heating element... go study what happens to people who work with hi temp aluminum, like at a smelter or something.. basically they get lung cancer and there is a specific name for it, but i forgot, a search on the net will provide this info... the volcano also has these dang balloons that bug me.. and it has a fan, now i am not sure if that fan has carbon brushes in it or not, but it most likely has graphite bearing lubricant dust to deposit in to your lungs... i dont know for sure how the fan is constructed because my mind was made up before i got that far... so think about if u get some hash and u want to vaporize it, u will need a bottom temp of 410F.. what is that on the volcano? is that number 7 setting? the fact of the matter is that the number 7 setting on each volcano will be a different temp, and on the AroMed 410F is 410F.. where is the difficulty here? lets just simply step back and observe the facts, and if u do that, then your choice wil be just as clear as the technical superiority of the AroMed... This is so funny because there is not even a contest, its like me in my cobra racing ronald mcdonald on a skate board, its like Hello? let us lift ourselves above simplistic thinking, such as 1234, abc, that kind of thing, and progress with clear sight, a smile resulting from the lights coming on and that in turn becoming understanding rather than blindness...

but i must be fair about the aluminum thing, the aluminum itself has to become very hot to begin to emit anything, i think well above the element temp in the volcano... but if i owned one, i probably would check into it... as soon as i found out my vapir one had a brush motor in it, i didnt want to use it anymore after checking into things like carbon in the lungs, but as far as the aluminum thing, i cant say that i have any proof of that either, and i figure that sinse u have a volcano, maybe u have motivation to prove incorrect the aluminum thing? ah? and hurry up will ya, im curious... now come on now, dont lie, u didnt buy it coz u thought it was gona be a piece, obviously it works good and has developed a good reputation, and as far as i am concerned/......... if the aluminum element is not a threat, and the fan is of a certain specialized type, then i think the volcano would be a great vaporizer, but i havent looked into it that much so i dont know, so provided that these things were not an issue, it would be next in line behind the AroMed... and just because it is next in line, doesnt mean it is last in line.. i have used some of the others that are way down the line, infact the there is a large gap between the front of the line and the rest of the line,so why dont u look into these things? these are valid concerns, and if u find no threat, then u can come back and call me some more names...
