I am in day 12 or so of VEGGING and for the last 7 days I have been using an 18/6 light cycle. During the 6 hours off, I just realized there has been light in the dark room in the form of a glow in the dark vicks humidifier. Does anyone think this may cause hermies once I go into 12/12? Or would light in the dark period only cause hermies DURING 12/12 cycles?
Also, what other problems do you guys think this may cause? I have removed the light source but would be interested in hearing about it as I havent really read anything regarding light leaks during a vegging dark period and what that may cause.
Thanks! :)

Yes, if there is a glow it creates stress on the plant UNLESS you have a green spectrum glow. Green light does not effect the photoperiod.
Hermies are caused from a stressed plant. Light during the dark half of the 12/12 causes huge stress on plants

in the wild they have moonlight!, which can be quite bright sometimes, as they are so young, 12 days, i dont think it will cause too much stress as flowering is still quite a while away, but i dont know, im not an expert.

Stress is most damaging at the early stages of growth. This is when it is easiest to set the foundation for hermie's
Experts say, that the less stress the young plant goes through the less chance of hermie's...
put tape over the humid''''r light.
Try covering it up.
It may not cause any problems, but dont take the chance of hermies.

There are no lumens in the led light that will affect your plants. You can cover it up with black tape if it makes you feel better.
True Green is a color not seen by the plants and safe to use in your room so you can do maintenance in the dark.
