Anybody listen to trance?

I'm finding that I need a break from heavy metal, which has been my primary music all my life. I've been wanting something mellow.... but not mellow as in the "soft" sense, but something that will put my mind (possibly while under the influence of some drug, possibly not) in a state of peacefull trance. I once was in a car, high, while we were driving at night listening to trance music, and it was quite remarkable really. I'm wondering if anybody can offer advice on a good artist/group with this type of music. thanks guys :)

Lol, you know what guys, I'm surprised nobody's mentioned this but I just realized I already asked about this about a month ago. I guess no more late-night stoned posting for me:p

anywhoo though, last time there were a couple artists mentioned (forget which) but I couldn't find them anyway. I'll definately check out some of these recommendations.

as for the type of drug - I don't have anything yet, but the only things I'm considering are shrooms and salvia. since salvia's short lived and rather intense though, I'll probably just wait till I do shrooms again.

Trance would be amazing on pills lol never done em but i like it when im listening to weed aswell you may think that sounds weird i do listen to chilling music but sometimes i listen to dance bonkers is the best.

I like the X Files Theme it sounds pretty cool. Another good song to listen to tripping is Perpetual Groove-Teakwood Betz not sure if it's trance though. It makes me really happy when I'm tripping on almost anything except DXM music annoys me on DXM.
