Hey guys... I got this zip and i'm trying to split it into 8ths, grams, and a quarter... I don't have a scale, and we're just trying to figure out if anyone knows how to make a scale. I'm pretty sure i can make a simple balancing scale, but I don't know what kind of every day objects weigh a gram... I've heard a U.S. Currency quarter weighs a gram but i don't know if this is true, can you guys help me out?

chances are you'll end up needing to buy something to rig it. Seeing how handheld postal scales are like $1, I'd just go buy one.

well either buy one, use a kitchen scale, or do it by eye (judge it just by looking at it)

I think he means a quarter as in 25 cents. allthough I would think a quarter weighs much more than that. I'm pretty sure a nickel weighs 5 grahms.

A nickel weighs 5 grams. I don't know how to make a scale, but I just thought I'd help you with that.

You may be screwed completely then. You may have been able to split the bag in half or something, but eying a grah, is near impossible.

Worst comes to worst, just put the whole zip into one big bag, and let it settle to the bottom. Then, put your forefinger and your middle finger into a scissor shape, and "cut" the baggie with your fingers, in the very middle. That seperates it into about two halves. Put those into seperate baggies. Then do the same thing to those baggies. Voila! Roughly 4 quarters.

it is possible to make a rough scale with a ruler and a sharp edge. For weights I would use a penny to weigh it which weighs approx 3.5g. But then I guess your in America.

Quarter â?? Mass: 5.670 G
Nickle â?? Mass: 5.000 G
Penny â?? Mass: 2.35 G
Dime â?? Mass: 2.268 G

So for an Eighth you should probably use like 2 pennies and just remove a bud.
Quarter I guess a penny and a nickle.
And I'm fucking blazed.
So if you do make a scale there.

yeah except bills get ripped and shit and worn so it might change weight but yea
Just buy those gram bags and fill them all up. If you need to sell a quarter, just empty as many of those bags into a bigger bag as you feel you want to sell.

haha after about 30 minutes of experimenting we figured out what works best.... My friend just broke out some vitamin C pills that were 500mg each, we put 14 on the one side and balanced it with some buds on the other... worked out perfectly, weighed it later and it weighed just around 7
