one of my friends has got some daffodile bulbs in a glass container & u can see where it was grown in a pot then put in the glass. its been in there about a week with the roots exposed to lights. i told her that they would die because from what i know u just dont let ur roots see light! but their doin quite the opposite. they've started to flower! i mean what the fuck is up with that? is it something to do with bulbs roots are harder than anything else? why hasn't it died or showing any signs at all of dieing!!
i'd be greatful if sum1 can answer this.
cheers.

Light is bad for roots... they will turn into wood...

But, it isn't "poison" for the roots. It isn't the best to have light on the roots, but, they can live with it...

MJ clones will root in just glass of water also...
so will ivy

so will most anything

from there is it just a crap shoot...

some plants definitley are ok with roots exposed to light and submerged in water.. go figure...

But MJ is not one of these plants...

although there are exceptions....

so...
the answer is.... best not to expose the roots to light..

Just like human.. some only like to procreate in the dark.. others like the light on...
