Whippits is just whip-cream hits from a can right? I used to do those by accident when I was little, cause I didn't know it had to be upside down to get the cream out. Its a pretty short high, it definitely not 5 minutes, its like, not even a minute at most. Its really intense though, its fun, if you have some whip cream you might as well try it, I'm pretty sure its not extremely harmful.

it's the safest thing to do... and i do not advocate inhalents anymore, since for me and everyone i know who's tried them, personally i mean.. it isn't just once or twice, it becomes a whole 'nother world... but there are more dangerous things out there...

You wont get much from a can of whipped cream. If you get real whippits you're going to need a cracker and some ballons. Despite being short lived it is a pleasant experience.
Nitrous oxide may exhibit NMDA antagonist neurotoxicity, I seriously doubt it is much of a risk in man though. Heavy use will lead to depletion of vitamin B12.
Nitrous oxide neurotoxicity studies in man and rat.
Dyck PJ, Grina LA, Lambert EH, Calder CS, Oviatt K, Rehder K, Lund BA, Skau KA.
To assess the effects of chronic exposure to low levels of nitrous oxide on neural function of man, the authors evaluated the neurologic condition, motor and sensory nerve conduction, and computerized tests of sensation of approximately half of the dentists in Rochester, Minnesota. Results of scored tests of neural function were not significantly different for dentists who used nitrous oxide extensively in their practices and dentists who did not. To assess the effects of chronic exposure to high levels of nitrous oxide on neural function and structure of experimental animals, groups of rats were exposed to 70 per cent N2O in 30 per cent oxygen for four hours, five days a week, for six months. Rats exposed to N2O and control rats showed no difference in well-being, in caudal nerve conduction, in axonal content and transport of acetylcholinesterase and dopamine-beta-hydroxylase, or in number and size distribution and pathologic abnormality of teased myelinated fibers. Although these results indicate a lack of peripheral nerve neurotoxicity of N2O in the rat, one cannot assume a similar lack of neurotoxicity in man with heavy exposures.

Don't any of you use erowid anymore? Whippits are laughing gas. For some odd reason, they use laughing gas to propel whipped cream in the can...Don't ask me why. If you're careful, you can get a balloon's worth from a few cans, but you need a balloon to do it. 1-5 minute high. That's why you usually get plenty to do 'em rapid fire :)

Nitrous oxide is fat soluble and dissolved in the cream while the under pressure, the foam is produced as it escapes.

Buy some weed, Grey Goose, and pills and you should have a ball. Whippets are for small children who haven't a clue. Seriously, if you plan on having friends wg=ho respect you, forget the stupid whippets.

whippits arent the smartest thing, but still fun. and its not gonna kill you instantly as long as your still getting a little oxygen to your brain...but its definately safe, the dentists give it to you...some headshops sell it...just dont make a habit out of it

If you do drugs for respect, don't do whippets like amsterdam sed, get sum weed, down a bottle of whiskey in one, and pop some anonymous pills, u badass!
But if you do drugs for a good time, Nitrous is funny, I literally had a balloon attached to my lip at the last rave I went to, they were half the price of a beer, and in my opinion worth it, plus they really intensified the E for about 5-10 mins afterwards, but the initial rush lasts about 5-10 seconds. The only risk you run is if you literally attach a cannister directly to ure mouth, and breath it in, pass out with the mask still over your face, and die from oxygen deprivation, you laff, but its happened. Like Nullific said, the B12 depletion which can lead to sum numbness of the extremities (with extremely heavy usage, 4 hours a day, 5 days a week, for 6 months woah! those rats must of wondered what the fuck had been happenin that past 1/2 year), but even that study shows the controversy surrounding the true damage caused by it, its been used for centuries as an effective anaesthetic in dentistry and surgery, and as long as you don't do it every single day for the rest of ure life, you should be fine, but the shit they use in the whip cream cannisters isn't as pure, and can have some nasty elements dissolved with it aswell, as a one off, u should be ok, but if you really like N2O, get sum cannisters from a head shop.
Oh shit, I forgot about the beer, you want one?
No thanks
How about some ether?
What?!
Nevermind

I honestly don't see any major problems with nitrous oxide, just vitamin B12 deficiency easily combated by taking a supplement if you plan to use extensively and common sense issues like taking fresh breaths between hits. Canisters and whippits should contain near USP grade nitrous as it is for use in foodstuffs. Certain brands have been known to leave an oily residue.
Nitrous is best for use when you are on other drugs as previously mentioned, it has amazing synergy with many substances.

Nitrous is pretty much harmless. Just dont get confused, i always though CO2 cartridges were the same as nitrous but they arent. And nitrous is very safe as long as you dont inhale directly from a cartridge because that can cause frostbite and will damage your lungs, also make sure you're getting enough oxygen and you'll be fine.

For fuck's sake, you people are retarded. Honestly, it's LAUGHING GAS, THE SHIT THEY USE AT THE DENTIST'S OFFICE! It's not some gay inhalant, and it's not brain cell murder. Don't ANY of you use erowid anymore!?

Ya as far as inhalants go whippets are by far the safest. I checked it out before I tried it for the first time, I dosnt kill brain cells as far as I no and the only real dangers are that if you dont get real air after you could die of lack of oxygen and that it gets rid of all the b-12 in your blood so its not sumthing to do many times. And I never felt anything from it. I took the can and shot it into a long bread bag and inhaled it and I got nothing from it.

agreed nitrous oxide is the propellant in whipped cream canisters look on them...if nitrous wasent a "safe chemical" to be injested it wouldent be used for food products..as with co2 but co2 is more harmfull then nitrous....and the nitrous used in cars HAS A SULPHUR MIX IN IT so yeh thats not smart.....n20=nitrous oxide simple now yall stop bitching :)

Don't use NOS meant for cars...
ide say as long as you dont use too much to the point your brain has not enuf oxygen your brain cells are fine
