Need recomendation for a good PC game

I'm looking for a fun game to play on the pc every now and them when I'm high. Something like a fps with good graphics would be cool. I'm looking for something simple though. I rarely have time to sit down and play, maybe and hour a week, and don't want somenting with a keyboard full of controls that I need to spend hours learning. Any recomendations?

you can play call of duty 2 , its pretty fun just shooting some krauts from time to time. Its got single player and multiplayer if you have a dsl or cable internet or something like that.

You can get codes, so you really don't have to beat the game to have fun.Just drive around and do whatever, kill people, cruise, kill people.Then you can buy a controller for it thats identical to the PS2 controller, and set your own controls.SO fun when your high.

Yea if you want simplicity, then get Mame and download all the old arcade games, which are 50k average. Then you can play the good, simple, old school games without worrying about complicated stuff.

Call of Duty 2. one of the best FPS to come out in a while.

Call of Duty is really guided and teaches you the controls throughout the game. That's the best for just playing.

its not expensive, you buy it online and download it from a program they have so no matter where you go youll always have access to it, easy controls, lots of players, its even got bots if you cant play online, some badass guns and graphics...

BF2 or COD2 are the Best FPS your gonna get for now. you gotta be carfull with BF2 or COD2 though you gotta have a pretty good computer to play these games and really view the high detail

I've been spending hours playing this game over the last few days and all i can say is W.O.W.
and no i don't mean world of warcraft.

This RPG brings single player gaming into a new realm..

On a side note.. Check out the game called "Spore", it should be out late 2006... and looks just as equally great as Oblivion.

Of course if you're looking for mindless blow em away shoot em up FPS.. BF2 is where it's at.. Counterstrike is just to over-run with kids that cheat because it's "fun" ... besides that.. the engine is a good 9 or 10 years old now... and don't try to tell me Source is soooo much better than 1.6 because that's bull.. it's the same game.. the same silly redundant objectives... it doesn't take a strong brain to play games like Counterstrike.

Battlefield 2 of Halflife 2 Deathmatch and download the goldeneye patch and you can play golden eye(from n-64) with all the authentic weapons and boards and characters, except with amazing graphics.

CS has needed to die since it went retail. When it was in beta 5 through beta 7 it was the best because a bunch of dumbass kids hadn't gotten a hold of it. Lately, I've been playing oldschool games, and found a decent Maniac Mansion copy. Also, if you want a mindless FPS, as already mentioned, you can not go wrong with BF:2

Farcry was great. A bit outdated, maybe its on sale.
Best ps2 game: God of war. That is on sale 19.99 at target I think
Oblivian looks like the best pc game, as far as graphics go.

off topic but just wanted to tell peeps instead of using the keyboard to play your games, theres a usb adapter for the pc that lets you use your ps2 controller. heard many good things bout it especially for roms, as the pc controllers wont let you play certian games. anyway its called super dual box pro.

Source is the NEWB version of counter-strike. Fuck Source. There are more 1.6 tournaments, and 1.6 is a million times better then source. When the Counter Strike Pro Mod (or whatever it's called, I'm baked and forget, but the new cs with better graphics then 1.6 with the same physics engine, which is why source sucked so much). All the newbs play source, all the more skilled players play 1.6..... Ok I'm done with my rant... with a sudden urge to play more 1.6 (after playing for 5 hours today already).

Thanks for the suggestions everyone, I think I'll prob go with Counter Strike. Looks like it will be good for a one in a while type of game.
