I'm definitely poor at the moment. I've been looking for a job for the last 9 months!! :( I've definitely turned down some crappy jobs but it's hard to find a job that will hire me paying anything over $12/hr.

My birthday is on March 28th. I really want to buy a couple of things, Ozzfest pavilion tickets so I'm not stuck in the pouring rain this year with idiots throwing chunks of grass constantly. It's $100 per ticket and I need one for me and my girlfriend. :( Wah I wish I had a job.

Another thing that I want is Nine Inch Nail tickets go on sale for the Hartford, CT (dodge place) on April 1st. I don't know how much but I would love to buy them in the first few minutes and have GREAT seats!!!

Anyone here rich and want me to have a nice birthday? :smokin:

I feel bad that you actually like any group of bands that would make you pay 100 bucks.

I'm not dirt poor, but not rich or in between. I get 2,166 a month salary b4 taxes. Not that much, but livable when you combine what me and my wife make together.

I'm not rich, but I manage my money well. I have spending money, not a whole lot, but I don't buy anything personal except for herb. I buy the occasional movie or game, but as for personal entertainment, I spend only $200 every 2months on herb.

I don't make much, about $1400 a month, and most of it goes to rent, bills, food etc...

I am with this
research your local newspaper
and find local bands that are playing near you
and it will cost you $10
and will still be fun as hell
and of course
GET STONED!

GD. I've been watching the property here in FL cause we're trying to find a house in a certain area and 2200 sq feet is freaking huge. I'd hate to know how much your house is worth all fixed up.

no shit? That's not bad at all. The house I was looking at down the street was just over 1000 sq feet and asking price is 195000. I think it may allready be sold :(

Is the house market crazy in Ohio too?

I know here in Alberta, the house I live in, that I bought off my folks, they paid about $165,000 for it. After living here for 7yrs, they sold it to me for much less. Now the house I now own I could sell for around $250,000. All we've done to it is piant it every 3 yrs, keep it up to date, and built a new deck, that's all.

My Oma who lives in Lethbridge paid $4500 for a house in the 1950's. It is falling apart and very, very, very old. She has been offered $150,000 for her place, not the house, but just the land by itself.

I'd hate to be a person looking for new homes these days. Poory made and waaaaay overpriced. Luckily I got a sweet pad for under $100,000.

benagain
03-25-2006, 01:52 AM
well where i've chose to live, there are hardly any old houses. The whole place seems to have been created in the last 10 - 15 yrs. You're hard pressed to find a house that over 10 years old. They're all new, nice and a little pricy.

Nochowderforyou
03-25-2006, 01:57 AM
I don't know what the houses are made with in FL, but here, all the new homes look the exact same. They're all covered on the outside with that cheap, vinyl stuff. It looks so boring, so suburban.

The house I live in was built in the 70's and the one I grew up in, which is still in my family, was built in the 1920's.

I just can't believe people pay over 200grand for a vinyl house, with shitty craftmanship. The house fires here are mostly caused by an electrical fire. Commonly in newer, still developing homes.

I'm in between, not poor but not even close to being rich. more poor then rich. on a scale of 1 to 10, I'm porably 3.5 if that makes sense.

I hope something good happens for you and your family soon :)

It's lottery night tonight so if I win a decent amount I will throw some of my winnings your way for sure but I think I have more chance of walking on the moon because only criminals seem to win it like thieves and rapists  :(

When I think about these criminals winning the lottery I see it as fate or something giving them a chance to turn their lives around and they never do.What a waste of good fortune.

JunkYard
03-25-2006, 11:09 AM
Whats even worse than that is when someone already quite wealthy wins...that pisses me off more than anything, lol!

Give the criminals a chance, but let us po folk get some action, too!

HiddenBeauty
03-25-2006, 11:17 AM
They could at least throw some money other people's way but I have heard alot of rich folks do,something to do with the tax man I think.

I wouldn't mind a criminal winning if it stopped them messing up other peoples lives.I like reading success stories like that.

I grew up rich, lived a few blocks away from the street of dreams(this annual street they pick that has the nicest houses)

Divorce happened and became poor

Now that im on my own i go through phases of inbetween and poor.

lottery is a false hope for such a large majority, dont get into that for your own sake....

Desperate for money? Steal drugs and sell them back for 100% profit, always works when i get in a squeeze. You just have to deposit it in small amounts over time, like 5k over a period of a year wont be noticable.

JunkYard
03-25-2006, 11:25 AM
Yup, too bad it doesn't 'usually' happen that way./shrug

If I ever won, I'd live comfortably, but nothing over the top. I'd like to leave a great deal to my kid, ya know?

If only...

C4nn4Bliss
03-25-2006, 11:31 AM
Id invest it. Maybe start a small busniess, then you could have a business and money to leave for your kid!

If only the american government paid more to kill people(military) id be there in a flash>>

It is nice to dream and escape to a nice place once in a while.

I can't have kids but I would love to have a big house filled with good people(stoners),adopted children and a few pets. That would be me sorted I think but I would have to have a smoking building outside of the house and away from the children.

One of my friends fixed his barn up like a club, and it's tight as hell. Live music, tables, a bar area with stools.

He calls it the "smoke house", lol!

Haha..."barn" Can ya tell I'm country, lol.

I love to dream, man. Escape from reality, and just imagine a better life. Although, my life ain't so bad as is. I just like to explore, and ponder what it would be like to have what is presently out of reach.

lol, you read that about the lap dances, eh?

No, no lap dancers, but still a great place to hang out...

I don't know how boring life would be if our dreams came true. I actually think it would be more exciting...at least for the first few years. After that, you could dream about the life you had before you got everything you wanted, lol!

You would feel such relief if your life was perfect and you looked back to how it was before,I wonder if you would get a natural buzz from that.
