hey im not that great at skateboarding, i just have a problem that mabey you know the answer

three out of four of my wheels spin fine, but i think the other one made contact to water, and just stops immediatly after i spin it. the other ones spin for like 20-30 seconds. I used to use wd-40 for my old skate, but i learned that it screws up your bearings even more. it sucks cuz it ruins my speed and handleing.

Any advice?

Well, this takes me wayyy back, but I used to skate back in the day. If you have a skate tool, I would take off your problem wheel and take a look. You will probably need a new bearing, which shouldn't be too much of a problem. Hope that helps.

heres a way to clean them and hopefully stop them from getting more fucked up...
pry them out, take off the covers, fill up a bowl with some water and alot of sink soap, like dawn or something, and get a toothbrush. put them all in there, let it sit for like an hour, then come back, and take them out one by one, clean the balls with a toothbrush, spin them *alot* on your fingers, and make sure their thorougly dry. if this doesnt work, forgoe the dimebags and get yourself some Bones Swiss!

Yeah dude get a new bearing. Just go down to your skateshop and ask for a spare bearing, I'm sure they'll have one. I doubt it was the rain though I used to skate in the rain occasionally and my bearings were straight.

damn guess I'll travel back in time and find my old set-up. Let's see, I got a Blind deck, Grind king trucks (love 'em), spite fire YeS, not sure on the bearings - look like bone swiss. One thing I wish I never gave up was skating. Oh well, it's still badass to watch.

Has anyone seen "Chomp on This"? One of my favorite vids, plus I love Koston.

You should buy what I think is called a spitfire skateboard first aid kit. It's better than buying replacement parts individually.

Do you mean the Shorty's skateboard first aid kit. My friend got it for Christmas and it was total crap. If you live close to a skateshop just get cool with them I get huge discounts (30-50%) on everything because I smoke with a guy who works there and I used to skate for their team until I got hurt. Just hang out there alot and eventually they'll give you discounts it's worth it.

I don't skateboard but I have several friends that do. I rollerblade but the bearings are the same deal. Don't chunk the bearing before you try to save it unless you have another lying around.

Remove shield, drop in gasoline or mineral spirits, allow to dry and re-oil.
