These Northern Light beauties have been growing for about 3 weeks now ... the big one has and the smaller 2 are about 2 weeks. I watered my plants and left them overnight with the light switched on to stay at my girlfriends and i came back in the morning and the larger plant had curled on the leaves and got yellowish burnt colourings. Please could you tell me if the problem is that the plant got burnt overnight or if it is due to some other problem? And also if my plant is going to be ok and anything i can do to heal them if they are burnt ? This is my first ever harvest. Set - Up explained below. Thanks a lot for any advice.
Bob

First off welcome to www.cannabis.com
If your lamp was to close it may have scorched them. It is most likely the case if it happened over night and just to the top of the plant. Not much you can do for her, whats dead is dead. The rest of the plant will be fine, or it should be. Any pictures ?

Could you have spilled something on them? Nutes maybe?

Nutes? as in nutrients ? no cos i dont use nutrients in the soil ... all ive used is the canna coco medium and thats all in the pots and then water ... i spray the water on and over the plant so cud the water have magnified the light and burnt the leaves that way ?

Yes that would be my guess. I never folair as burning usually accurs. A fan may help there health aswell. I hope to see you stick around. You should make a grow journal here so we and you can see the plants grow. Once again welcome.

Yeah dude that'd be cool ... may have to do that ... ill get a fan for in there ... as this is my first crop how long generally would a plant take under a 600 watt bulb to grow from seed to harvest ??? Northern Lights seeds. Just to get a general idea. Thanks for your help.

Karmaxul : bout 65 days ... is that from seed to harvest or just time in flowering stage ?
Zandor : I don't think so ... you can see in the picture of my set up how close the lamp is ... it's a 400 watt (not 600 watt as incorrectly stated before) ... is the lamp to close do you think from the pics ?
Cheers for all the help though dudes ... much appreciated as i am a crop noob lol.

How long u reckon theyll take from putting the seed in the soil to being able to harvest them ? the largest in my pics with the burnt leaves has been growing for 3 weeks from seed so wondered how long it may take from now. Cheers

just so you dont sit around wondering what is taking so long ... in my own personal experience growing under lights, in soil, ... seed to flowering stage, about 3 months to reach a healthy 3-feet tall, then flower for another 8 weeks, 2 more weeks when growing a sativa (your NL is primarily an indica, you will probably be done after the 8 weeks) ... hydros and super-lights can shorten this time period, of course ... :smokin:

Same thing I was thinking when 600W was mentioned. Isn't it about 2.5ft. distance for a 400W?
