Cooling lights

If I was just using fans to cool the light bulbs would it have to be high in cfm.

Are you running a room with A/C?

If you are, maybe you can get away with just pointing some house-hold pedestal fans at the bulbs... blowing air towards them.

I am using 1000watt lights. I have decided to use two 465 dayton blowers. But I have 5 of the stupidest questions ever.

1.What in intake and exgust(spelled that wrong)
2. Do I have to put the blower outside or just in a window seal?
3. What type of ducting will I need to have the blower blowing old air out and bringing new ari in the cool off the lights.
4. Will this be good to keep the room filled with fresh air or should I buy more fans.
5. does there have to be lots of windows in the grow rooms for the fans?

Sorry about the stupid ass questions. I just want to have as good of an ventilation system as I can afford.

Man, ventilation is a very important element of grow setups... nice work on thinking ahead. :thumbsup:
1. What do you mean "what intake and exhaust"? What size is your room?
2. It can work on the window seal... be crafty... be Bob Villa
3. Ducting.... well, there's the popular 4" dryer ducts... and the 6" ducts used for.... for other stuff... and big MoFo ass 12" ducts...
4. Enough for the room? What size again?
5. No... if you can manage fresh intake, and an exhaust, your grow room would actually be better of with NO windows.

????

I don't know how big the room is. I am planning on buying a house. I am thinking ahead so I can save up the money to do this. The room will be big enough to fit atleast 32plants. Big plants or medium plants. I will also have 4-400watt lights but I will only be cooling the 1000 watts.

Intake is throwing out old smelly air and axhaust is bringing in fresh air correct.

Nope... it's just like your car.

The exhaust, is old/used air.

The intake, is fresh air. :)

Cool thanks for the help. Should I buy an electricity generator for this or do you think I will be able to get away with the bill.

when you get in your house and if you can afford it run your system and other appliances daily , get that electric bill up. so when the electric co. see a new home owner that uses alot of electricity they wont throw a red flag on your house.

right on ....dont use windows unless you are using a AC ....you dont need peeping toms and you dont need anyone seeing light coming out around anything at night .....and your 4 , 400 watts wow i bet you will have to cool them to ...maybe not but I would put money on it ...

Just for the first crop I wouldn't be cooling the 4-400watts. Cause I wont have enough money. but after that I should Have enough to upgrade what needs to be upgraded.

How long should I have everything running daily before I really get started.
