I think these so called unmotivated(lazy ass)stoners are just naturally lazy. They don't want to do anything so they blame it on the weed.

You generally jus don't do shit you don't wanna do when you don't wanna do it, but if ure stoned of course all lifes problems can be blamed on the plant, its easy to blame summat that doesn't bitch and moan, and for all extensive purposes is an inaminate object, just sittin lovingly in a baggy on ure desk :D Cuz god forbid you don't wanna spend every single second of your fucking day working 'productively', and would just like to sit down sometimes and think, unproductive as thinking is and all.
Soon a newspaper article will come out how 'Swiss scientists have performed a study today at some swiss building, and by examining OVER 200 people, from a population of 6.5 billion, they have conclusively discovered a link, between abstract thinking, and cancer. The report shows, that thinking too abstractly, can cause abnormalities in the cortical potential of specific parts of the brain, this abnormal activity triggers the growth of Cancer-2AS501 and cancer-34SSM, specifically in the occipital lobe, which is believed to have some contribution in processing visual information. The test showed over 60% of people who had been on a strict regime of abstract thinking over the last 3 months, had almost TRIPLED there likelihood of developing the incurable disease, while those who had spent the time thinking less abstractly, had seen there risk FALL by an average 15%. The government is very concerned with this new study, and will be investigating ways to minimize the risk of YOU ever catching this deadly strain of cancer most of you have only just heard of, and is probably fictional. But either way remember to form an opinion, and then tell everybody you can about your ill conceived notions. Because now you can talk about scientific data, from Switzerland, u'll be the intellect of the office! ppl will hotly debate with you and u'll become the talk of the town, go you stupid bastards, go.' And now every motherfucker in the world is an expert on those 2 strains of cancer, and abstract thinking. No1 knows what the fuck abstract thinking is, except for Barry in the office 'Well you know its like, you know, like wierd thinking, aint it?'. These are the civilians of the empire of the world!!!!!!! trust them as they tamper delicately with the bank details that will bring you and ure account to ure knees!
The eyes don't look at the face when you throw an open hand up, the government are not stupid, they are clever, clever motherfuckers, (well in comparison with the average Barry from down the office) who maybe don't know exactly what they are doing, but have the general idea, just keep thinking that government is out there for the benefits of the many, and not the few, and you'll think 'MAAAAAAAAAAAAN they gotta know, thats not benefiting really anybody who's a civilian.......oh wait a minute......wait jus ONE cotton PICKIN' minute...............the statue of liberty............YOU BURNT IT ALL.....YOU BURNT IT ALL TO HELL.....DAMN YOU!!!!!....etcetc.' I mean shiiiit, all political threads on this board centre around the theme that the government is shit, then everybody comes a long with the attitude it aint that bad and with q's like 'Well where would you be without your government? on the streets, thats where!' We all have a deep deep fear of eachother and ourselves, ppl think without governments, everybody would be bandits, that without law on drugs, every1 a smackhead. If you don't like the government, tough tits!, if you do, Why? They don't wanna be liked anyway, or supported, respect is easy to accomplish through fear, and even the ppl who hate the government are convinced that armageddon will ensue with the collapse of it, end product equals respect, a fearful nation, is a controlled one  kind of ironic though how the fear that binds us to the 'tyranny' of government, is your own neighbour and your complete lack of trust for your own survival skills. Do you think that political leaders give two big floppy donkey dicks about coming over as Buddy Christ?
That was a very long trail of thought...................

Yeh it always happens in the mornings, I reckon its the dreams.
i'm sorry I may have contributed to the malignant growth in ure head, really I am.
i agree crazy and stoned, but not without sense. The government knows the real truth, half the government take illegal drugs. Drugs make ya feel good, they know that, they know marijuana isn't as addictive or harmful as they make out, as around 3 billion tests since the turn of the last century testify to, while about 3 studies (which have been proven to be shit) show harmful effects, yet it's still illegal:confused: .
Now do you think it more logical to say 'They're wrong, they made a mistake, and they're being stubborn twats' or 'hold the fuck on, they RUN a country, no matter how much you think of it being in a bad state they still lay down the guidelines for hundreds of millions of people a day, how can some1 who RUNS a country to the general satisfaction of the public, yet overlook such a mistake? on such a minor thing. I mean come on man, just let ure ppl smoke weed.' Now this is where the reaaaaaally crazy part comes in, they know what they are doing, it is more beneficial to be illegal.
The DEA confiscates the drugs, to tek it where? the big illegal drug emporium in Montana? where it gets synthesized in to cuddly toys for orphans? you can't make 7 tonnes of crack cocaine disappear in to thin air, but they've been doing it for years, the boom in heroin usage in the 60's and 70's, WOW! look at that, when america went to war (for sum reason) with a south east asian country, noted for its fine quality opium (the raw material needed for what was the drug again? the most addictive one, the most euphoric, and the one, coincidentally, thats turnin up more and more on the streets back home, oh yeh heroin), all of a sudden, the mafia was dealing heroin, and there was tonnes of the shit flyin in to America, but yeh man I do agree, if only we educated them on the TRUTH of things, the truth shall set you free! they don't know exactly what they are doing, but for the past 70-100 yrs have made a grievous error, and are just ignorant to the truth. If you honestly believe the justifications they have on any law, on anything, even if you disagree, or agree with it, then.........i dunno what to say except bleurgh...... look around you, and see that the epitomy of civilization and exercising right of government is business..............every underdeveloped country, oddly enough are the ones without a 7/11, or an asda, or a McDonalds, yeh thats right all 2 countries that don't have one of those chains, turn the tv on, which is in every household and its 'Buuuuuuuy meeeeeeee, feeling blue? don't have a girl? are you fat and ugly? Buuuuuuy meeeeee and u'll still be all those things, but you'll have a cooool Tyco RX racer, yeeeeeeh (cue eccentric rock music) '
Oh yeh and even with all that said, propoganda, proven assasinations of political figures, by the same, or opposing parties, have been used since the dawn of civilization to sway public opinion, without the public having a god damn clue at the time. Every1 is being so swept up in the technological era, that we have an air of arrogancy like never before, every1's like 'Yeeeee man but that was a looooooong time ago, its different now. I got the internet, I KNOW whats happenin around the world' yeh yeh, a whole 50-100yrs ago, ure own country, was proven to be dealing heroin for money, and no1 bats an eyelid, ppl are actually dying in Iraq at the moment (for what was it? first it was Osama in a cave in Afghanistan and WTC, 6months later we're in Iraq chasing Saddam, for nuclear warheads, oh but wait none there, and shit Iran, which is right in between Afghanistan, and Iraq, is now supposed to have nuclear weapons, or the 'Facilities' to make such devices, good thing the law sez we can march right on in there, oooooooook then?! ) no1 bats an eyelid, and I'm staring at a newspaper, with Kerry fuckin Katona on, talking about loosing weight, or farting or how happy she is with her new shoes (and I'm insane??!!), and then motherfuckers about me have the audacity to chat about national pride, or morale concepts, maaaan ure nation is at war, and u don't hear a thing about it, instead you're still reading about ppl who have captured the publics imagination for a time, a figure of light entertainment. Even in this gr8 day of modern technology and wireless communication, do you not think this kind of odd?
Truth is a funny word, cuz what does it mean? the 'truth' is that marijuana, is harmless, makes u feel really good, and has minimal (if any) side effects, plus its a fuckin plant that grows when u stick a seed in the ground. But the truth of ure situation is, its illegal, u get caught with it, u can't travel to certain countries, you mite do jail time, prohibition, prospective jobs fly out the window. Ye ye, that sounds like the government really cares for the individual, you help a drug addict by kicking him out of society, and makin it near impossible to get a job (which society has been set up, so you can't survive without one), thats not gonna depress the fuck out of him is it? he's not gonna go runnin to the nearest dealer and occupy the nearest protuding vain/nostril? oh yeh and drug addicts contribute to crime, they do need money aswell like, to eat, and for drugs and its pretty hard to get a job when u got a criminal record 3 pages long with shit like 'Arrested for possession of heroin/coke/crack/cannabis' most employers will now burn ure application.
Waaaaaaaaaake the fuck up people. The government is not there for order, its not there for you, you are expendable, the all singing, all dancing shit of this world, and ppl are cashing in, on our utter boredom with what 'real' life has become for the majority. The main problem with drug consumption is other people, the life problems spouted to be caused by drugs (except for obviously addictions), are caused by the law, which doesn't have to be there, cuz the truth is, you can do WHATEVER YOU WANT, and you still will do what you want, even if ppl get caught for breaking the law, they've stil just done what you've told them they shouldn't, so what really is the reason for it? Punishing them rights the way of the world does it? But yo, my fuckin friend has still got stabbed/I'm still high, 'Yes yes, but we want you to know, that some ppl uve never even met, or don't know you, say this isn't the way to go, and if you resist, we'll lock you in a room, lawfully, oh and by the way this is REALLY happening'
If you think its to police the world and build toward a better tomorrow, ok, but fuck me its gonna be a looooooooooooooooooooooong day :D
I see it as more of a business set up, and if you look at it from this perspective, they are doing exceedingly well, and the laws and everything make much more sense.
Now that...........is a fuckin ramble :D
Excuse me, I have to go wash my keyboard, its literally covered in the shit I just wrote. If you made it this far, why are you wasting your time reading this? silly man

Weed is not at all a motivator for me.. it's quite the opposite in fact. About a week ago I got high, and this dude in my dorm came downstairs to ask me all these math questions. I figured them out, but it took so much mental effort, and considering I had just finished that course, it should have been really easy for me. But that's not to say that marijuana doesn't have other benefits.
I feel like whenever I'm really stressed after a crazy week of studying for midterms/writing essays/doing problem sets (aka this week for me), a nice bowl or two on a thursday or friday night will settle down my nerves so I can make it through the next week. But I wouldn't even think about touching marijuana if I seriously have to get down to business. For me, it's for fun, recreationally, not so much a motivator. But that's cool how there can be completely different takes for different users.

it is true, lazy stoners blame marijuana for their troubles when millions of others go about their every day lives being productive and they don't let marijuana become a crutch to them. MARIJUANA ITSELF does not have the potential to turn a good member of society into a lazy burnout pothead. it's the actual person who lets their life become consumed by the drug, not the drug itself, that makes them lazy and unproductive. personally i hate when i see one of those types of people because i know that he's only ammunition for people against legalization.
i am lazy when using marijuana. not because of its effects, but because frankly i'm a pretty lazy person. do i let it get in the way of my schoolwork, a job, or my future? hell no. i wouldn't let laziness get in my way if i had never smoked a day in my life, but i'd still be a pretty lazy person.
i used to think it was the marijuana making me lazy but an old wise gentlemen named dai*ma :stoned: showed me along the way... in a rather... hostile... post (on a quitting thread i made a long time ago, if you remember daima :) ) but i'm glad he did it because i learned something from it.

I agree with SonEt, I first really got in to the sciences when I sat through a lesson stoned out of my face, and the teacher threw a ruler across the room, and mentioned how the centre of gravity, would be a hyperbola, now I'd seen that shit a million times before, but when he threw it and either end was flailing about, but it looked as though they were orbiting the central point, which seemed to fall in slow motion, it was the first time I looked at science not as a man made thing, but a study of the natural. Needless to say I didn't listen to a word the man said for the next hour and 20 mins, just couldn't stop thinking about the simplicity of the hyperbola, and free falling bodies in general, and ever since that day, I've been completely insane :D

Mariuana opened new worlds to me. It made me think of things i had never thought of before, it has helped my ADHD and has made me a less depressed person. Also when i found out about my parents getting devorced at first i started drinking mass amounts of alcohol and passing out on the floor in my front room listening to music. Bud made me look on the brightside of life. tee hee. i very rarly drink alcohol anymore.
