the mushrooms that are commonly eaten by you and i contain the psyco-active ingredient psycillobin that causes us to trip really we are being lightly poisened..our bodys are reacting to the mushroom's natural deffense system. there are many other kinds of mushrooms that will make you hillucinate but however they use other poisons to do so...therefore the trip will vary from type to type...some of these can kill if used in too large an amount and are much easier to kill yourself with...which is why they are not commonly used for recreational purposes.

mind posting the species names anyone? I know the read and white ones are amanitas, but what are the other ones? Also, you can't forget the Laughing Gym(Gymnopilus Spectabilis).
