Greetings to all you wonderful stoners & thanks for stopping by
As everyone will soon learn growing & especially smoking the girls is all that my life really consists of, thought a grow thread would be the best way for peeps to get to know me. :rasta:
Soz for the grow not being from the very start.:o
Used the paper towel method to start 5 Jack Herer seeds 6days ago, first 2 were out the dirt 4days ago & the other 3 a day latter.
The dirt is a 60/40 mix of Levingtons compost & coir, with some Mycorrhizal fungi (http://www.friendlyfungi.co.uk/index.htm) in to make life easy & twice as sticky ;)
They are under 4 x 2ft fluoro tubes getting 24hr light, there's also a 2ft uv-b flouro which is on for 2hrs a day.
The temp is just holding above 70f at the mo, bloody spring refusing to start :(
Comments or questions more than welcome :smokin:
Here we grow then!

Hiya mand :)
When you get chance try having a go at breeding, only ever have to buy a strain once! & then there's also the fun of trying different crosses of your own making
To be honest i've never bought any JH seeds, was lucky & found someone wanting to swap 10 for a Q. If you ever do fancy growing them sometime just let me know & i'll sort you with some freebies
Will try to keep it together long enough to do some more pics saturday, they'll be a week old then.
Take care mand :smokin:
Thanks gin4dub :rasta:
Do me best to keep them green & healthy, though being on a grow thread can be fatal for plants :o
Not sure if i'm with you BlueDragonSmoke
Just measured them and the tallest only stands 2in out the dirt, it's prob the camera angles making them look stretched.
Wish i could switch on the little fan beside them, winter chills are still in the air & the temps round the roots drops like a brick when it's blowing. :(

Just a quick update now they're 1 week out :smokin:
The tallest is 2 1/4in & the shortest is 1 3/4 in.
Been giving them all 10ml of water daily so far.
Will be giving them some Rhizotonic tonight so they have good root balls come repotting.
Thanks for checking on me babes

Spring arrived with a vengence this week, we get taken out with flu & the temps jump 10f.
2 of the babes are now suffering for wind damage where i put the fan on & didn't check them for 48hours :o
Anyways the tallest is 2 3/4 inch.

Hello alchemiser :) Wind damage, to be honest I never even knew that could happen :o , although I don't think it's anything major to bother about they look as though recovery from it will be quick ;)
Yes spring seems to have come on all of a sudden, I've stopped using the heater a a few days ago as it was getting just too warm in the growroom. Mind you I still have it on stand by, I don't think we can trust the weather just yet.
Reminds me of when the kids were younger and I took them to Skeggness for the Easter weekend in a caravan (it's all I could afford I'm affraid :o ). Anyway up untill then the weather had been quite mild but the weekend we went away it did nothing but rain, sleet and snow:( .
I tell you spending the weekend in a Caravan at skeggness with three very bored youngsters, and the wind blowing from the North was quite an experience  ................... one I've never wished to repeat ;)

Hiya mand, yep wind damage, hot dry air blown constantly in a single direction catching the plants :o can't get an oscillating fan to fit in the small box.
Thankfully been growing far to long to overly worry about the babes, though having the damage go necrotic isn't very nice to look at :(
Looks like leaving your heater in place was a good move, there's a frost due tonight!
That Skeggness trip sounds like it was a real nightmare, trying your best for the kids & then the great british weather has it's fun ruining your holiday :(
Hope the kids have forgiven you for all the boredom they suffered, not planning on taking revenge when you get older.
wow just realised it's 21years since i last went on holiday, 15years old sat in a tent at Woolacombe waiting days for the rain to stop, at least in the southwest it's warm & wet. :o
Anyways enough reminiscing for now plants need sorting, here's some pics of the damage & i'll sort a proper update of them all tomorrow.
Take care mand :smokin:
