No, ive listened to every rap i can. In my younger days i used to not mind it. But listen to what they right about. Its all worthless. I like some hip hop, like outkast and common and the roots, they all have good instremental thing in their music. I also like the beastie boys. Anyone can rap like young jeezy and 50 cent, but look a little deeper and you realize the complex production and lyrics that used to be what rap was all about.

Being a rapper myself, I do find that kind of offensive. The others here are right: music needs to be judged based more on individual skill versus stereotypes about the entire genre of rap music itself. There are some artists in the rap world I absolutely cannot stand because of their lack of skill and only continuing to make music just to sell records (50 Cent for example.. he used to be decent but now is too commercial.. no diss to Shady though! lol).

As for me, I do it just because I like to and because I enjoy true skill and talent (regardless of whether or not people think I have talent or not lol). Anyways, that ends my rant.

Go to a rap concert and tell me that's not music. Are you saying that world music, with simply drums beating isn't expression of music as well? Not all music is made to be conceptual art, and musical masterpieces and isn't a box-like definition. Some music is simply made to dance, get lifted, jump up and down.
