Ooh good, a thread about stretching.
Ive currently got 4 Lowryder seedlings under a 600w HPS, and the light is about 3-4 foot away from the plants because of heat and also I dont wanna singe them.
Will they stretch with the light this far away or not? The previous Low, Fiona (RIP) was grown under a 25w flouro for the first 3 weeks, then plonked under the 600w HPS, and there was minimal stretching.
Just wondering if these are gonna stretch or not under the HPS? The light is 95,000 lumens, and I havent lined it with mylar etc, so Ive worked out that the plants get around 15-20,000 lumens. Is this enough?
Sorry for the babbling.

Yes, your plants will be fine. If you think they are stretching then put the light a little closer and put your hand under the light. If it burns you then it will burn your plants. (Be careful) Also, lowryders are a great plant. Hope all goes perfectly well for you.

Tomthehippie, Yours look great, and yeah cant give anymore adive, for a talled plant, move the lights up a little every now and again. Good luck bro.

soo... so far on 1 hand iv gotsome1 saying.. there goin to take longer to grow in veg with a 200w fluorescent (if u look at that link) and on the other hand some1 saying that its because the lights very close..

can any1 clear this up 100% because if i move the light away to suit idea 2 when infact the light needs to be as close as can be to suit idea 1.. lol?

dude...make your own gallon jug live yeast 2 cups sugar...shake like hell un cap ...good to go for like 2 weeks , you will see a difference....if and only if you stop peeking for a while ....lol... oh and FYI plants only use co2 when the lights are on and it is around 80-90 degrees....

They are a great plant - I had to harvest her early cos the cat knocked her over and she snapped in two, but the smoke WAS very nice, although not on par with ones Ive had before.
Ive attached some chain and let the light down by about a foot/foot and a half, so heat can still escape from the top. I think I might be able to lower the light a little more actually.
So a note to anyone who has heat problems - get some chain and move the light down by attaching the reflector to a length of chain, that lets the heat escape upwards, thus not frying your plants. :D
