Hey i'm new here:confused:

I'm starting to grow maybe 2-3 plants right now, did it in the beginning as a "wonder if i can" kinda thing, took a seed germinated it and so forth, after i saw how fast it starts growing in some good soil i decided to star tone or 2 more. But from what i'm reading i don't have any of the proper stuff, i mean i added fresh soil after baking it to sterialize it and i got on the best around like under dead logs and nice and ark and rich in nutrients (i'm guessing cause it just sprounted right up) but i don't have the acessability of all these big fancy lamps and blowers. Should this really matter, i'm in an area where it's not so easy to cover up me growing if anyone even knows what it is. So can i still grow somethign good i mena even if it isn't "sacoya of weed"?

Any info will help me out

A reqular flourescent light like you would find in say a building or home or school
My own brew of rotted wood and nutrient rich soil and some coffee grounds added with a little wood stove ash

hey green... see if you can get a CFL..

a compact fluorescent light.. preferably a light that is 150 watts..

it will look like a giant cork screw...

keep that light as close as you can to your plants.. like 1 inch...

get as many of those lights as you can

they cost 10 dollars at home depot.....

and post pics, so that we can make sure you are not doing anything illegal

i love you

1 will do for a few days, untill the plant gets bigger. If you wanna grow it and flower it (and actually get bud from it) then you will need more than just 1 CFL. I'd say about 6-7 for a really good harvest. Make sure they are all the highest wattage you can get. And you really do need to get a small fan, just to strengthern the stems, you dont want it to fall over and die while your budding it do you?

If you can get a good fan, get a computer fan or and Sony Playstation 2 fan and wire it up to a 9 volt battery.

Good luck.

Speaking of fans...how could i hook this badboy up to a power supply, it says DC= 24v 0.15A on each of the fans.

they look like pc fans i would try and get a 12v dc adapter snip off the end and wire it to that i have done the same thing with some fans i have and its works fine
cheers hope this helps :)

I tried using an 18v and the fans didnt even move, just clicked a little, would a 12v even work at all...

yeah wrap it up with insulating tape but those fans have 3 wires the yellow wire is for revs per minute (rpm) which is used inside the pc to control the fan speeds so if you are gonna wire this baby up to a 12v dc adapter pnly use the red and black wires
on the adapter you will see that the 2 wires are black but one of them will have markings on it which will be lil white lines this is the wire you will wire to the red wire on the fans and then you will be ok
let us know how it goes m8
hope this helps cheers :)

all the fan does is strengthen the stem of the plant and help airflow around ya room and plants i have mine on a timer with my lights so they come on automatically they are a must really with the stem beeing stregthend this means it will help ya plant support the wieght of the bud once it starts flowering
cheers hope this helps

If it didnt work with a 18v, what would make it work with a 12v, i just dont wanna waste another DC adapter, i got all the wiring down, its kinda common sense to me, i was thinking i only need 2 of these fans, one for intake and one for exhaust., if i did use 2, would i only need one adapter?

you could wire all 3 to it if ya really wanted m8 i have 3 fans running on my adapter ill post a pic, i made a fan tube with 2 fans bolted on top of each other and attached to one end of a speaker porthole so i can direct the air better
tell me what ya think

i did it and it would only power one, and very lightly..

im not too sure then unless ya can get a dc adapter that has difrent voltage settings on it that would maybe work
if not i would get some difrent fans from a pc shop m8
80mm fans are quite cheap
cheers hope this helps my freind
