Ingesting Opium

Okay, I just started smoking opium a little while ago, so I'm not very experienced with it, but I really enjoy the high. If you are not in a situation where you can smoke it, is there a way to eat it or add it to food or drink so that you will get high?

I know if you heat it past a certain temperature it breaks down the drug, and i definitely don't want to do that.

that's what i'm saying, we always do pack it in a bowl with weed and smoke it, but say i'm out of weed, or not in a situation that i can smoke, but i still want to get high..

just like you can make food using weed, is there a way to do this with opium?
