Okay, I am on my first plant here. I got very lucky. I planted one seed, and got a female!...lol
Not only was I lucky there, but I should have killed this poor plant at least 3 times. She lived though.
She is now About 36 inches by 36 inches. She has 5 tops (Hey the 5 tops!) and 3 more shoots that think they are tops. I swear I have 2 tops that are the same size and look identical and think they are each the top Cola. Weirdest thing I have ever seen.
I did this more as a bonsai than Scrog but either way. When topping reached 4-6 nodes, I would tie them down. Also, to begin, just to get coverage of the area I was looking for, I purposely stretched the plant and then stopped the stretching once tie downs were done and I had the base I was looking for.
She is entering her second week of flowering.
Okay, the questions:
1. When you harvest in phases, how long can you do that? I heard cutting a shoot halfway down and letting the rest of the buds mature was a good way to do it, but I have also heard that if you cut a plant during flowering, it will go into survival mode?
Also, I thought you had to include the roots when you harvest it? What if I have to do 3 phases? Can that be done?
2. When you harvest, what do you do with the leaves that have dried with the plant and in the buds? I heard that you should not smoke them in many posts??? Bt I have seen others that were covered in snow? Which is it?
Thanks guys I know this is probably boring and basic for a lot of you.
