It is a drug. A label as a drug isn't necessarily a bad thing. Pharmaceuticals that help ailing patients are also called drugs. The definition of a drug in general is just, "something that modify's the body's normal processes in order to either help or hurt him"

IF tobacco is a drug then weed is a drug.
Too many people go on about alchohol and tobacco being drugs too (Which they are) but still deny it with weed...
Apply the same logic...
ITs a soft drug but a drug nonetheless, wether it causes much harm or not.
ANd I think it can cause harm IN THE WRONG PEOPLE.
Some people should smoke, others shouldn't. Simple as.

whats it matter, it is what it is. a word means nothing to me. drug or not, im still going to smoke that sweet sweet cheebah
Anything you ingest into your body that is not food is considered a drug. So yes it is a drug.
it is, technically a drug.
think abt it: u consume spliff (be it smoking or watever) and it changes how u feel. if thats not a drug, then there are no drugs.

Alcohol is a drug ! But it has become so socially accepted that many just turn anay from the years of research and docunented proof that this is a very potent and damageing DRUG!!!! But then again, as we all know when there's billions of dollars to be made by greedy industrys, To hell with facts and statistics!!!!!

Naturally, weed is not a drug. But ever since government smear propaganda comes into effect about weed, it has been 'labeled' a drug. The word drug itself slanders anything that is titled with it. Marijuana is a plant... if you are a God baring person, and believe that God or any higher power for that matter created anything and everything before man stepped in, then Marijuana is a naturally, morally legal herb.

MARIJUANA
IS NOT A DRUG
DELTA 9 TETRA HYDROCANNABINOL (THC)
IS A DRUG
YOU SMOKE MARIJUANA BECAUSE IT HAS THC IN IT. WHEN YOU SMOKE MARIJUANA, YOU ARE USING A DRUG.
the real question is, why are you conditioned to think that the term "drug" is bad? you weren't born that way, in fact you weren't born with any opinions or biases. those things came upon you as a little kid, and in this situation, D.A.R.E. probably got to you.

eh i'm not exactly a god bearing person but that's definitely true on TWO levels, first of all theoretically God created the Cannabis plant, and it's used numberous times in the bible, even by Jesus himself!

It is a pleasant mind altering herb. If that is what a 'drug' is then yeah, sure its a drug. Remember, shit like tylenol is also considered a 'drug'.

of couse its a drug, caffene is clasified as a drug i mean dam. But really any substace that is taken to cause a change in the body functions is classified as a drug. The argument should be should weed be a legal drug or continue to be an illegal drug.

Anyone can use a dictionary to 'define' a word. What Randycigar asked was whether you believe it should be called a drug.

The problem is that people like to lump all (illegal) drugs into a single category. Ask most people and they will tell you that they don't consider the consumption of alcohol and tobacco "doing drugs". But marijuana, cocaine, heroin, crystal meth, peyote, LSD, that's all considered "doing drugs" which is a "bad thing". In general people aren't really familiar with the differences between these drugs even though there are huge differences.
Governments have been notoriously bad at determining the differences between these drugs. In their battle against the monolithic bogeyman known as "drugs", they have obscured and confused their categorization of the illegal drugs. For example, in the United States marijuana is in the same category as heroin. And in most countries, having crack is a much worse offense than having powder cocaine, even though from a physiological standpoint crack is no more unhealthy than powder cocaine is. The real difference is that crack is associated with poor minorities while powder cocaine is more common among the rich and the white.
Drugs have been a very convenient scapegoat for the government. It allows them to exercise greater power over us when they want to, and it distracts people from real issues that might make the government look bad. We can't expect the bureaucracy to get rid of this War on Drugs all by itself. We have to take to the streets and end it ourselves. But first we have to educate enough people to make a difference. We have to teach them that not all drugs are the same, and besides that, there's nothing wrong with letting everybody ingest whatever they want as long as they don't hurt anybody else.

no man it's still a drug. and any time u ever hear someone say "drugs & alcohol" kindly remind them that just because alcohol is legal doesn't mean it isn't a drug, so all they really have to do is say drugs :)
