Personally I see where Sgt. Pepper is coming from... the media frenzy over the natalie halloway case was ridiculous... there are millions of people dying horrible deaths every day all over the world and all the U.S. cares about is one stupid teenager, drunk and fucked up, who goes off with a stranger and gets murdered... it doesn't make what he did okay, and I do think he's guilty, but what about the AIDS epidemic... or victims of Hurricane Katrina... or other international crises that no one knows anything about...

we don't hear anything about these things... or maybe they get a 30-second spot on the evening news... because we're too busy covering scott peterson, natalie halloway, and dick cheney shooting a guy...
