"Work from home" businesses don't drug test.
I think.

You can never know because every business has the right to test. The best thing to do is not smoke for at least two to three weeks before you apply then after you get the job and possibly test, just make sure to never smoke on the job and work hard so they never suspect that you smoke on the weekends or at night after you're done with everything. Smoking will be fine as long as you don't bring it to work and as long as you work hard and well, they'll never bug you about it.

about the work from home things do you know any legit ones?

Ironically, work from home is simply owning your own business, being a consultant, but I haven't really done enough research to determine which businesses offer that. If you find anything, let me know since I'm also from the Chicago area, and also looking for work.

Oh yea, I know what ya mean. Besides, it's always more enjoyable when one is finished with all their hard work, like enjoying a good glass of wine ;) .

As for which area, I'm still on the lookout for that as well. I just finished a job recently and realized that it isn't what I would like to do for years - unless I want to go insane. So I'll keep a lookout for stuff like that and I'll let you know but so far I'm also hoping to find something soon. I just know from old friends and such that work at home - and really enjoy it since they're the home sort but, unfortunately, since I've been back, I've lost contact with them since most of them moved back to where they came from before they went to college.

Yeah I know how you feel
I am in desperate need of a steady job, times are hard right now so I need to get on the wagon soon, its hard because almost all the places around here drug test, or I'm not qualified, so I'm SOL for right now, yeah I know how ya feel, almost everyone I know moved away and the others lost touch with me so I'm mostly at home 90% of the time, sucks but I'm broke and really ain't got nowhere else to go at the moment... but I manage, but good to know there are open-minded people on here willing to get to know fellow stoners and expand their minds

Guess the best way to get a job is to simply sell yourself on your resume. Many jobs may say you're not qualified and ask for years of experience but you've been on this planet for many years and I'm sure you've picked up some skills on the way. Just include everything possible that you know would help and stop smoking for at least two to three weeks so you can pass the test. They usually don't test ya afterward unless they suspect you are toked during work.
Why don't you just stop smoking for a little while so you can get a job?
Shit I just got a job at Target and I have no experience and haven't even finished high school.
