in school today i got into a heated arugment for 1:30 minutes which is the whole period and the whole class got into the discussion as well all because i refused to stand up for the pledge of the allegence.

There was no danger from Iraq, not saying they shouldn't have toppled saddam but the sad fact is its a war of attrition now and if your not fighting at home you will lose. america is not going anywhere. sooner or later this country will have an epiphany and realize that (some of) our attitudes towards the rest of the world are terrible and need to be changed.

To say that the rest of the world hates is way off. sure the middle east hates us, but they hate everyone. you don't see german or french UN inspectors being let in anywhere. And the idea that europe hates us is absurd, we just need to get over all the mistrust leftover from the past(remember the balkans?)
