Poppy seeds contain both Morphine and Codeine and can cause false positives for Opiates in urine tests. Most Opiate urine tests have a cut off level of 300 ng/ml. Ingestion of a single poppy seed bagel can produce an opiate level somewhere around 250 ng/ml three hours later. 3 teaspoons of store bought poppy seeds can result in 1200 ng/ml 6 hours later (1). We have read an estimate that 70% of DOT opiate positives are from poppy seeds. ~ erowid.org

Interesting! It seems people are using massive quanities of seeds to brew their teas. I'm seeing trip reports of people using pounds of seed at a time!
Well since i only have 2 ounces of it..i guess we will see what happens if you eat a bottle of them...

You're better off ordering some whole pods off the internet.

For ornamental and decorative purposes only.

poppy seeds dont contain morphine

they contain natural morphine-like opiates

but to say a plant contains synthetic chemicals just sounds retarded

Sorry thats what i read sheesh
Anyway i lost my will to eat them after awhile. However I can tell you with a degree of certainty that if you eat a bunch of poppy seeds with a code red mountain dew it reminds one of eating snocones. It is the texture.
Also i did not know i could buy seed pods. thnx for digestive i mean not digestive decorations

^^^Yes, they do. Morphine is a natural opiate, as is codiene. Both are found in poppies. These and other chemicals found in poppies are used to make most of the semi-synthetic opiates, including herion (diacetlymorphine). However, seeds contain little morphine, and the tea tastes hideous. Pods on the other hand contain enough morphine that a couple shot glass full of finely ground pods, made into a tea, contain a dose equal to a strong opiate pill (this is a subjective measure, based on the experience, rather than quantitative analysis). This also tastes bad, but tolerably so.

There is no chemical more natural and morphine-like than morphine. Google shit before making a fool of yourself.
