Hey now!
Question for everyone...
I am going away for two days and would prefer not to have the lights on while I am not around. The plants are about 30 days into flowering and doing well. What do you all think the effects of two days without light would be? I can try to have them on for a bit, but it would be easier not to.
Any thoughts???
Thanks!

I am not sure what it would do but I wouldnt risk it. The least worst thing is it wouldnt be as potent cause it had a time where it couldnt make any THC cause no light to change to energy. I think it would put a lot of stress on the plants though. Do you not have a timer and a place where the plants are out of site?

if light were the cause of potent plants we'd all be boosting our lumens...but it doesn't work that way. i had a power failure last winter and lights went out and didn't come back on for who knows how long during flowering (was away for several weeks and used a digital timer that resets when power is cut) and harvested them when i returned. noticed no diff from a previous harvest of same bb strain. i wouldn't make it a habit but i'm positive 48 hours of darkness will do them no harm. some people even put them into total darkness the last days of their lives...also clones get sent around the world and their time in darkness is far longer than what you have planned.
no worries and good luck

That is a good point del. I would say you are right when I think about it that way. I am sure in nature there are times too when the plant wouldnt get light as much sometimes too.

Ahh, that is comforting info!!!!
I am gonna arange to have the lights on for about half an hour each day. This way, I get the best of both worlds...they might mature sooner because of increased darkness and if not, they are still gonna get some light, as if it were a real cloudy day. Thanks a ton guys!
