Hi everyone i started this grow log because i already had one on here and i wasnt getting any responses so i was like fuck that. So maybe ppl will help me out this time and give me tips and pointers because this is my first big indoor grow..........Well OK
My setup consists of:
-125w compact floro
-2'x2'x4' box
-4" 80 cfm inductor fan w\ 25' of flexi hose
-small fan for circulation
-temp and humidity reader
-random seeds

Here are some pics from yesterday which was day 20.There seems to be a problem with my plants---the leaves are droopy and turning yellow...some have dark greenish yellow spots and ones leaves had like a weird purplish tint to it......does anyone know why it is doing this. Well thanks everyone. Peace,Love, and Happy Smokin

droopy leaves = overwatering [maybe]
yellowing leaves = needs nitrogen [maybe]
purple tint could be natural for your plant
or tempature swing is to great.[maybe]

Let's correct this..

Droopy leaves = overwatering
Yellowing leaves = To much nutrients (flush)
Purple tint = temperature shock (check you day/night temperature)

thanks guys i thought it was overwatering a week ago and i started watering every 2-3 days but that wasnt it. I think it is too much nutes because i been using the Flora series from Gen. Hydr. and Superthrive. Hey im going out of town on monday and not going to be back till next monday so what should i do to water them. I was thinking make a hydro system that waters them good on thursday. Do yall think that would work or no. hit me back .....NaStY

Like i said... place a bigger pot around the pot containing the soil. Fill the outer pot untill filled 1/10 of the height of the pot containing the soil. It will take the water from the outer pot and you won't need any hydro system whatsoever

Britewire watering from the bottom is not good and leads to unbalanced ph of the medium, stress, and yellow leaves. It is cleaver and convenient, your idea, but the bottom of the pot is the hardest to dry out and is the most delicate part of the medium.

Well I've never had ANY problems with yellow leaves or stress with watering from the bottom. Maybe your doing something wrong then karmaxul.

Maybe you only water a little bit at a time which is better. Still surface roots will not develop as well when watering from the bottom. As you know roots need oxygen. The most oxygen is on the surface of the soil. No water on the surface = not that many surface roots. Not that many surface roots and wet bottom soil = not that much oxygen to the roots. Further more unbalanced ph as in different ph at different zones in the soil = stress. Stress = slower growth. Healthy looking plants does not = maximum yield.

Think of rain.

Does rain water the forest from the ground up?

wow this is a hard decision what should i do im thinking that will work but at the same ..........ohhhhhhh....... maybe this will work have a CONTAINER not a pot on the outside so it doesnt drain.... fill it with the soil, medium or whatever then water it like Brite said and it will retain its water....but the cons of that could be drowning it in its own wastes

They need air. Wet soil on the bottom of the pots causes plants to be droopy as well as have a low ph depending on the tds which leads to yellowing. I know brite says he has not had a problem with this and he is a skilled grower but check out his pictures of his droopy plants in his grow journel.

thanks yall now the only thing i have to do is make the hydro system to water it on thursday. Last night i bought a 7 day/7 event timer so that will help the system. But i have a home depot card so thats the only place i can buy stuff but im sure all the stuff i need is there can yall tell me what supplies i would need to make it.
