2nd GO -----WhiteRhino/AK48

Ok heres the deal I will start off with 4 white rhinos and 4 ak48s. They all sprouted and its only been 2 days in the paper towel method:o

I dont want to update to much but I will do updates:o :(

Tonight I will install 2 65watt CFLs for the seedlings, which I will also put the seeds in the pots. I will probably have these lights running on 18/6 for 2 weeks or depending on the growth, then I will throw in the 400wMH for the rest of veg. I need to get some superthrive and another fan and thats about it, cause I already have everything else.:p

All I can think off is what you're doing anyway, door open and fan on.

One thought though Buk, it's probably a bit silly :o. Do you have anywhere else you could grow, somewhere prehaps near fresh air or ventilation or somewhere you could adapt for growing ?

GreenMonster-- its growing good just the slow start:o just waiting now but my last grow was OK I did get a few seeds in the buds. I didnt get tons but yes i did get seeds in my buds:( The smoke was OK i would say Mids not highs.. I'll post pics sooon

Mand-- I'm keeping the Temps as good as I can but I really want to keep this damn door closed but I cant cause the heat goes crazy:( I wish I had a different area but I dont:( I have a garrage but in the summer it would get worse than my closet:( I have CFLs right now for about another week or so, that can buy me some time to figure out what to do before i throw on the MH and then HPS. I do keep the closet door open and have about 4 fans, 1exhuaus 1intake 1 onlights and 1 on the plants. I think im going to add 2 or 3 more fans inorder to keep that door closed the way I always intended to. Its a lot of work with this damn heat, I dont know y I have such a problem and I have a cool tube:( that sucks right! but my plan should work I just have to put some labor. this time around the temps are good though I didnt let it reach 109 :D like my 1st day. I'm sure I'll do good this time around thanks to you and lots of others that gave me my knowledge that I needed on my 1st grow thanks again.:dance:

how big is ur space buk? as i have similar probs with heat: closing the door is a big no-no for me as my temps would rocket too. shit man how many more fans can you have if u already got 4??? maybe u should get bigger intake, exhaust fans as they dont seem to be doing their job?! R they like pc fans (intake/exhaust) u have? get some 5 inch beeatches for intake/out and you should be ok.... but if u already have them then i have no idea!

buckdatass, I had the same brob with temp in my room i had 2 large exaust fans taking air out,but i found it didnt do much good so i got more fresh air pumped in and took 1 of the exaust fans out now i can control the temp better as more fresh air keeps temp down better and if the exaust isnt getting all thehot air out it will escape from some were and new air will keep temp down. well it works for me ,

Yeah sounds good. Yeah I am going to buy 2 more powerful fans that should do the trick... I dont have any PC fans but I will buy 1. I'm just going to try everything. I dont know about my last crop last night I tried another sample and it was a lot better dont really know y. It might be a different plant that I sampled it from or it could be that I didnt dry it enough, o well works for me....

Well heres my 8 roses. I went to look back at my 1st grow pics and the same date from soil 15days the plants were alot bigger. That just tells me how much better a MH is than any other light. I dont care tho cause I should be throwing that MH in within a week:D . Also I noticed that the stems arent as strong as they were under the MH. Thats y I bent one in like 3 different places:D :D there was no stick that would hold it up because it was bent in 3 places so I was about to trash it but then I thought of the straw thing as u can see in the 1st pic and it worked. The straw held up the plant from tumbling over and now its nice and strong again:p

The 2nd pic is the (2) 65w walmart lights(11bucks each) with the bootleg fixture I made for it to hold up with the chains:D

Buk just a suggestion, to be honest I haven't a clue if it's possible or practicle in anyway :o .................. Anyway is it possible to set up some kind of small portable air conditioning unit/device, that could sit outside the growroom and put cooler air into the room maybe via a hose, something like the hose of a tumble dryer.

Like I said Buk I really haven't a clue what I'm on about, just a thought love :o

As for me ,crap, I mean I put the 400MH today but still no freakin fix yet on the heat problem my door still remains wide open at night leaving me with a 24 hour sun. Tomorrow I might go get the 180cfm or 265cfm but I dont know cause Zandor said there noisey and I dont want to be hearing a sound of a blower all night:confused: Today I made another hole in my box and put a 80 CFM booster exhaust and nothing:( I really do need the 180/265 but I just hope its not TOO LOUD:( Damn the HEAT:mad:

Well my dumb ass comp crashed and its still not running:sadcrying (using my sis comp) Hopeully it will get fixed in like 2 days. Well I'm in about 3 weeks of flowering and they were growing just fine, I was left with 3 ak48s and 1 white rhino from 4aks and 4 WRhinos. 50/50 isnt bad:o yea untill yesterday I found 2 hermies:sadcrying I wanted a bigger yeild and now I wont have one. I'm starting to think that this wasnt really meant for me due to my heat problems. Damn White strains :mad: Anyway hopefully these 2 wont go hermie on me, I mean my temps now are around 88 but before they would get around 94 sometimes but I do have good ventilation + good fresh air coming in. :o The enviornment really has to be on point inorder to get good results:mad: Man I'm bout to throw the towel in cause its just not happening in my room:mad: O'well I'll just have to wait and see. buk bro hang in there , i know what your talking about the heat man, my white russian has been living in the low 90's for a while now. i just keep giving the superthrive weekly and dont worry about it. but summer is coming around and iam going to do the lights different this time. they are gonna come on at night when its cooler up there. i have a 265cfm in my box and i sealed it in there good. no louder than an a/c unit. before you throw in the towel check on getting 1 of these to help.

Even with a small CFL setup I ran in to heat problems over summer. Especially when heat gets to 113 F. The cooler weather is just starting to begin where I live and now looks like I will need to provide extra warmth. I'd much prefer it this way. If I don't get AC, then next summer the grow will be offline.
Organise some serious ventilation and/or AC like Mobay said. Otherwise your place will be like an oven.

At 3 weeks in to flowering I'd just let them go. Crank that A/C unit and ensure that all other heat producing appliances are turned off. Sleep on the lounge room floor if you have to. :)

Do I remember rightly in you saying that you have a garage ? ................ Well if that's right try moving the grow into there, I'm just going on the assumption that a garage would be easier to ventilate than an indoor closet.

well I have my darn Comp back that damn thing crashed but Its back and so am I:thumbsup: Anyway I ended up taking clones for the 1st time:thumbsup: I stripped both plants and the AK gave me 10 and the Rhino gave me 6. I did the clones on Thurs but today the Rhinos looked like they needed water so I watered them but I really dont know if they have roots:o I've been misting them and they look great:D Hopefully they can drink there water fine:o Anyway I just have to wait what seems like forever but if all 16 clones do fine then I will only veg for a short period of time.... When can I throw the 400MH cause I have the 2x65watts on right now:confused:

Well finally my clones started to grow.... Damn things only took like 3 weeks:mad: Well they do look good, well only the AK48s look good the White Rhinos didnt clone well at all compared to the AK48s. I still see no reall new growth with the WR. So far I have a solid 9 good AK48s clones thats alot for my little space but O' well Cant wait to grow them out.......
The only bad thing is that my Temps are getting up there which means Hermies so I wouldnt be surprised:( The only thing is that I am adding a nice amount of superthrive with every watering. I am also planning on getting another bottle of Reverse to prevent as much as possible:o

This will be my last grow inside my closet, I might be taking the grow to the garage when the outside temps hit around 50/60 so I will have a little space of not growing all though I will be growing like 2 or 3 plants in my backyard. :D I def have to keep those really short so I will be topping and LSTing those;) Damn its about time to plant them gotta go and do that now

The one I'm doing at present is more like it should be, I go in there once a day and sprinkle a bit of water on them if they need it. Other than that I don't really have anything to do with them :)

Whats Growin On every1.. I havent been able to keep up with the site the way I used to cause I had lots of work goin on in my house etc.... but I just wanted to make an update.... Well I started off with 18 clones I think and 10 made it to flowering. I was very tight on space so I had to double up on only 2 pots with 2 plants, I really didnt want to do that but I had to. They all seem to be growing fine, but I know that I could be getting Hermies due to my heat in the box. Theres nothing I can do to fix it only move the location which I will be doing for my next grow. The only thing that I have been doing different this grow is using the famous SUPERTHRIVE(from the start) and using Fox farm along with my Sunleaves bat guano, it seem to be working fine. I'm think I could be looking at maybe 6-8 oz dried weight:D I'll really be happy with that anywayz heres my babies:dance:

I'm not doing a journal on the present grow, mind you it's prehaps a good job I'm not......... they look a right bunch of misfits. Most have streched to frightening lengths and one refused to show anymore new growth so I had to pinch it with just two nodes, but it has two nice new stems now ........................ it's a grow like I usually do without anyone looking, very rough and ready.
Also it's a bit of a rush job, I want to get all the transplanting and pinchig done before I go on holiday :o.

buk im postmandave son he is on a unplanned holiday for 3 months.Will be home on 27th july.He asked me to look after some plants of his but i dont have a clue about them .i know how to water and feed them as he sent me instructoins.The only thing is they are starting to look a bit unwell and i dont know what to do .He told me if i had any problems to come on hear and search out mobay.buck mand,bob something, all the names you have mentoined.so HELP . they plants are what you all call reveges he picked the best plants from his last grow and was revegging them for cuttings before he had to go.He wants me to take the cuttings but the plants have started to go a bit yellow with rusty spots everywere and i dont have a clue whats causing it.They are being revegged out doors and they were thriving untill left in my hands .the only thing i can think of is that i have over or underfed them as thats all ive done is water and feed them.Mobay if you or any of mates are reading this then i would appreciate if you could help me out hear as you will know what my dad thinks of his plants and what he will think of me if the die on me before i get some cuttings from them . they look ready for cuttings to be takin but the leaves look weird but he told me this would happen until the plant had totaly revegged.so if any of you guys can help me out it would be great

Hmmm I would say try a little bit more N then the usual dosage. What was the dosage PMD left you? I took 18 cutting from my 2 plants and out of the 18 I ended up with 11. I had the same problems with yellowish brownish color on the leaves. Most of my plants over came the problem and now I have nice tall lovely girls grow some thick buds. I would think the problem came from either stress or a nutrition problem. All I know the rule of the thumb which everyones knows is plants when Vegging plants need lots of Nitrogen but ur dad knows what hes doin so I'm asuming he left good instructions for feeding :confused: it would have to be a deficiency. I would go with a Flush then try to choose the problem from these 2 sites I'm going to give u and good luck:thumbsup:

PS give me ur dads feeding instructions OH i know your dad put to use the SUPERTHRIVE dont forget to use that.

Hey guys I also started a grow in my backyard too:D I'm just seein how it goes so I took like 10 NLxBB seeds from my hermie plant last crop that I have saved and planted them about 6 days ago.. With all the rain we've been getting I didnt have to water them and they already popped thru the soil:thumbsup: I hope they do good, I just have to LST the crap out of them cause I dont want my next door neighbors to see them:(
I know the smell will be OK cause the strain doesnt produce much smell, so thats good. I know they probably are going to turn out hermie as well cause they are from a hermie plant and will end up being 50%female 50%hermie O'well its an Outdoor grow so I dont expect much especially with all the pests, storms, etc.... Well its its the start of day 60 and there doing good I'm taking them down by Day 62 there about 15%clear 80%Cloudy and I would say less than 5% amber:thumbsup: So yeah there coming home I mean I waited so LONG its time that should be about right for me. I only managed to get my smaller plant out of the box cause the others are laying all over each other and I didnt want to mess them up so I was only able to take the smallest one out. She cute:D

you should buy one of those "Aardvark" things, i watched a grow video a whiel back that used it for manacuring, and fuck it was good! It's like a vacuum cleaner, (looks like one, and plugs into any household vacuum cleaner) and it just cuts away the bigger leaves and leaves your buds really nice with no shitty loose leaves. And of course, if you want to keep the leaves for hash just open it up and empty the bag....simple~!

Hey I just tried a sample cause there done drying and TTTTTHHHHERRRREEE GRRRREEEEAT. :D :stoned: :stoned: :stoned: Man its good I took 2 hits from a pipe from each 1st WhiteRhino then from the AK48:stoned: I tried it with 2 of my smoker buddies and they were like damn shitssss goood got anymore:D The thing is they dont know I grow it "I follow the rule" only 2 people know i grow and my lady is one of them;) They havent even been cured yet:thumbsup:
