Hey guys Im on my way to home hardware today and Im going to be purchasing the correct PVC pipes to make the honey oil.

Im thinking a foot 1/2 long tube, with 2 end caps.

Im going to drill 7/14th inch drill bit into the top cap to insert the butaine, and Im going to dril 5-6 holes on the bottom cap for the escape.

Think this is a proper procedure? It says 100grams of leaves will yield 1g of honey oil .... Im using a quarter pound of shake and hope to get roughly 16 viles.

PVC is a known carcinogen...Not exactly. PVC is fine until you start running questionable materials through it. They leech off bad stuff in the plastic. I was reading about PVC Butane tubes a couple weeks ago and this particular article said that there were no known interactions between PVC and butane though.

butane is corrosive, and pvc when decomposing releases hydrogen chloride. it may be perfectly safe, i don't know, but i would try a material a little less toxic than pvc has been proven to be

PVC is a bad idea if you are running any sort of gas through it. Hydrogen chloride gas is near any heat source could entice it to be hydrochloric acid. Go with something like surgicial steel if you can get your hands on it.

Uhh so insanity.

I went out to home hardware today and bought a 2ft long PVC pipe and 2 end caps. I drilled a bit hole to fit the tip of the butain and 3-4 exit holes.

Infact I just finished shooting a quarter pound of shake in it and it worked fine.

seeing how pvc is derived from petrochemicals, it seems likely that this is the case.

[Erowid Note: Some concern has been expressed about the possibility of a PVC residue in the final product. This has not been verified, but a possible solution would be to use steel instead. Some reliable chemists have stated that PVC should be resistant to butane, but a preliminary flush of the PVC to remove any residue left from production might be warranted.]That's from the very end of this article (http://www.erowid.org/plants/cannabis/cannabis_info13.shtml) at Erowid.
