can ne1 help me? my plants are about 4 weeks old now and all of the bottom leaves are turning yellow quickly,my ph is 5.5,im using a hydroponics kit with a 400w growell lamp, rockwool cubes and i have a fan on so they are not burning , but im using "power-gro" nutrients, its says it has nitogen in it so can ne1 tell me what im doing wrong?
your probably using to much fertaliser, its pretty easy to do.
dont fertalise your plant for like a week or something and see if the problem gets any better. That powergrow stuff has an insane water to fertaliser ratio and its really really easy to kill your plants if your not careful.

change your nutrient resivour water, flush with ph balanced, then change it again and add less ferts

i remember you told me that power-gro contains "mg",but it might not be enough, try to supplement an additional amount to nutes(about 1/8 tsp per gal)the pH is good, but you may have to re'adjust it again after you add the "mg",it will go up slightly....bonbon

Its your Ph 5.5 is very acidic and can lead to fungus problems listen to that guy whose notanovice you need balanced water. Just lightening up on the fert wont help now you need to change all your water wait a few days and then start using less fert than you were.

wrong....rockwool is a very alkaline calcified medium(made from molten spun rock) that needs a more acidic pH(5.5-5.8) for proper nutrient up-take,and cold or very warm reservoir temps(68-72"FH*are ideal) are the main cause of bacteria and pathogens,if anything you may have to increase the nitrogen ppm slightly also....bonbon

Well bonbon all i have ever heard or read is that acidic Ph is bad for your plants and that too much acid will cause the plants leaves to turn yellow. I have never actaully done a hydroponic system though i have grown aeroponics which i assumed was close. Sorry for the bad assumption but now im looking on where exaclty i am wrong when i am i like to know why. So ive been looking up what you said and cant find anything off the basis of what you said im still just reading 6.5-7. If you have a link or anything Id like to see it.
