MorrisCounty a cop?

someone sent me this email that he sent them
I thought it was alittle odd...so beware

This is the e-mail he sent me, sound a little odd you think??



I would like to mee at stop and shop on route 10 (high traffic area);


you can look this up on mapquest if you are unsure where it is.

I am not a cop and am no way affiliated with any form of law enforcement or angencies.

I will need to know the make, color and model of the vehicle you will be driving, along with a brief desciption of what you look like. I say this because i am the one incuring all the risk to that point. I will approach you.. we can take a ride or make a fast tranaction. It will be at that point that you will recieve a contact # for you to use so we can dispose of email for future transactions..

if my terms are to your satisfaction... lets proceed

i will just need to know when you will be there

i am working a double shift today.. meaning i may not get off until 3 am.. its 5:44 am now.

i will check my email at noon and at 5:30 pm... i work 10 minutes from stop and shop

im not saying hes not a cop but if your gonna sell someone weed dont you want to know what they look like and what kind of car they are gonna be pulling up in. Whats the worst that hey could charge you with assuming he is a cop. posessoin, maybe conspiracy to get weed. Cops arent interested in busting ppl trying to buy a little smoke. There interested in ppl selling smoke. Morris county has far more to lose than the buyer.

idk bob cops do reverse stings all the time, and they can say some bullshit like 'yea i met this guy through cannabis.com, and the way cops and the DEA are they will prob say this site is used to find and make drug deals...something smells fishy, and its not my ex's pussy

just yesterday on the tv show 'cops', cops were selling little nickle and dime bags of bud to people from all walks of life in a reverse sting saying to the camera they were doing their job and duty when all they were actually doing was fucking up these otherwise good citizens' lives with bullshit charges! it took place in san bernadino, cal too, a supposedly lax-on-the-pot-laws kind of place! now there's one tv show where helpful tips can be gleaned...courttv is another good one for facts and real life situations.

I never pursued Morris County because of my Gut instinct... Morris county is full of 2bit pot busting cops,I know from personal experience,I did time in Morris County as well as 5 months of SLAP... 50% of the SLAPerz were there for petty pot busts...

Ever think of scoring and then get pulled over and searched???

Sounds like the guy has a whole plan thought out to convince you to go i dunno just sounds like a cop to me thats all.

Ive had people contact me over the next before to see if i could score them some weed and have done it a few times. It has worked out you know alls you have to do i say you got a pic? not a brief description of what you look like. And youd say what you gunna be driving or what kind of car do you have? dont can you give me a make modle and color. Just sounds fishy doesnt sound like a stoner or some one who would smoke weed.

wtf I wrote this long post explaining why I didnt think its a cop and the thread got deleted!

Any ways hes not a cop, any cop on this site right now isnt working for a local police station (and only local cops set up stings any one of a higher power doesnt have time to bother with the small peas). LEO's on this site are looking for MOMs and growers and seed distributers they dont have the time nor the man power to set up a reverse sting on some small time pothead looking to buy a sack.

The dude was just being formal thats all, he wanted everything to be clear and not have any slip ups. Hes taking a big risk making a deal over the internet and if iI was him I would want the transaction to goas smooth asa possible.

I have to admit that he uses ALOT of words that arent even in my vocabulary but I still cant imagine a LEO searching this site andtrying to set up a reverse sting. Oh yeah, it's worth noting that to actually arrest you, they have to have probable cause that you were going to buy it. So they'll use words like "marjuana", and "cannabis" instead of slang. If they didn't do this you could just say you thought you weren't buying drugs.

Next time you email him, or talk to any dealer for that matter, use obscure slang that only stoners would know, "reefer", "cheeba", etc. Even if it is a cop and he arrests you, it wouldn't fly in court.

It's required for large stings, they intentionally try bot to use slang, as they need to convince a jury. (They're usually wired to provide concrete evidence.)

But yes, in most cases, it will be your word against the cop's.

I made an introductory post a few weeks ago and he replied to it through email; I emailed him back before getting in the right mind to search on this forum for a little background on him. Thankfully I didn't mention anything that could be construed as intent to buy or sell so he probably won't pursue it any further. I guess the moral of this story is that he's most likely a cop, if even after being banned he's pursuing such an active interest in trying to market his "product" on these boards. That's what I think, anyway.

A little formality doesn't bother me at all... perhaps I've spent too much time in the customer service industry, but being polite gives the image that you apreciate the business, or at the very least that you're paying attention. On the other hand, I've been written off as a narc way too many times to count because of the way I speak.

But honestly? I think this guy is fishy. There's polite and formal, and there is what he's doing. He's requiring WAY too many details, which I find rather sketchy. While I believe a cop would be far more aware of the image he was presenting online and be a little more sneaky, you never know when some newb cop is looking to make a reputation for himself. Or maybe he's just really bad at his job.

While I'd like to defend him and say you shouldn't judge him by his vocabulary, I think he's sketchy, and would stay away. Plenty of other ways to get weed.

Just one lil clarification from the original post... A police officer/detective/fed CANNOT break the law in the course of an investigation. They CANNOT "toke one up with you" in order to make a bust. Any illegal actions in the course of the investigation put the entire case in jeapordy. If you research the recent issue of the Virginia cops who were going into massage parlors and getting 'favors' in order to bust them for prostitution, you should be able to lead back to case history. One of the reasons why when I meet someone new, I insist we smoke before any financials get discussed.
