I hate joints. Bongs are much better.

Agreed.
Bongs don't waste as much weed; they burn cleaner; and you get more smoke at one time, resulting in a more potent high.
Only time I ever use joints is when I'm smoking on the go :D

I prefer bongs as well, but it's a lot less conspicuous if you're smoking a j in the park rather than a bong.
Also, in hot tubs(and rather bathtubs) it's nice to just smoke a doobie, rather than having to deal with a bong, but yes, I do agree bongs are nicer, but they do somewhat filter out what you're smoking, so you're statement about getting more smoke at one is true, but the smoke won't have as much THC in it so it pretty much evens out actually.

but I do know for a fact I've used a certain amount of weed on J's and have gotten much less of a high, than if I used the same amount in a bong.

actually since THC is not water soluble you lose no THC, bongs just filter out dust and pollen and other chemicals that dont affect your high

Hmmm... I've always thought it did, but since I'm no scientist, I'll believe you.... for now anyway;)

joints an blunts all the way. if ur not getting as high off a joint u should practice rolling more. maby this is jus me but the way u alwayse get green in every hit an the way the inside of the paper seems to resinate to also be smoked. if u were using a bong this oil would jus get clogged in ur stem. an as long as u not coughin ur lungs out or jus sitting there lookin at ur lit joint ur barely waistin any. about jus as much as u do when ur bowl is cherried.
but i do luv bongs too

Hmm, joints can be more enjoyable to smoke out off, but there's nothing better then just taking a bong and hitting the fuck out of it. I prefer bongs. Obviously you get a way better high too, because your hits are twice the size. Aquablasts are even more insane, but they're not enjoyable at all.

you need a floating hookah for the hottub. if its big enough, it should be fine...put some weights on the bottom to make sure it doesn't tip over, and voila!

im english, and from own observations and much detailed research in to this aged old question, i have concluded that english people have the tendancy to smoke joints rather than smoke bongs and vice versa for americans, i think anyway.
i prefer to smoke joints, they're more chilled out, but bongs get you so much more stoned and are teh beasts to pull out at parties and pass about, a downpoint to a bong is that:
1)they can be quite throat devastating on a super hit
2) the hassle of setting them up and even more hassle for ice bongs
3) they use so much weed so quickly, but it pays off
in MY opinion joints make weed taste better, i dont really like the taste that comes through from a bong, i know u may think im crazy, but ahhhh fuk ya!joke, im sure there is others who may think this, i know a few people who would agree.
that is my comprehensive research on this issue, well not really just a lot of time taking in peoples opinions on this subject.
I much prefer joints :)
I love the whole setting up
and routine of it all
I also love to roll and
normally hate other people's joints
I'm trying out some new pollem atm
and very stoned
I hope this makes sense :D

I like small pipes, for few reasons: I don't like smoking weed with tabacco, and I don't smoke that much to smoke joints without tabacco. why pipes, not bongs ? first off, I don't like the water slowing my hit, and a bong without water is a big pipe =D, I love small pipes because I can smoke it anythere, at school, while going to the store or in a club. and I can carry my pipe in a pocket without any discomfort. ;]

here is a snippet:
"Contrary to popular impression, waterpipes don't necessarily protect smokers from harmful tars in marijuana smoke, according to a study sponsored by California NORML (National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws) and MAPS (Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies). The reason is that waterpipes filter out proportionately more psychoactive THC than they do other tars, thereby requiring users to smoke more to reach their desired high. "
"The study focused on two key components of the smoke: (1) total solid particulates, or tars, which are noxious waste byproducts of burning leaf like those from tobacco; and (2) cannabinoids, the chemicals distinctive to marijuana, including its major psychoactive ingredient, delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), and its two commonest chemical relatives, cannabinol (CBN) and cannabidiol (CBD), which are only weakly psychoactive but may have medical benefits."
"Surprisingly, the unfiltered joint outperformed all devices except the vaporizers, with a ratio of about 1 part cannabinoids to 13 parts tar. This disturbingly poor ratio may be explained by the low potency of the NIDA-supplied marijuana used in the study, which was around 2.3%.
Disappointingly, waterpipes performed uniformly worse than the unfiltered joint. The least bad waterpipe, the bong, produced 30% more tar per cannabinoids than the unfiltered joint. Ironically, the pipe with the electric mixer scored by far the worst of any device. This suggests that water filtration is actually counterproductive, apparently because water tends to absorb THC more readily than other, noxious tars."

yah man itz got alot ta do wit how u roll. if u roll tight, shez gunna burn slow but u dunt get az thick ov a hit. try rollin a cone wit the half that yer tokin on rolled tighter then the half that getz lit first. this will give u nice thick hitz all the way thru. i definatly prefer bongz becuz:takez longer ta smoke yer pile, u get a more potent high az sum1 else said b4, an im 2 blazed ta think ov anythin else but ya feel me. bluntz r also the shit.
