Hello everyone,

Does anyone know if it would be okay to scrub mylar with bleach? I want a fresh, mite-free start for my tomatoes and i wanted to scrub the mylar in my room to make sure that all mites are COMPLETELY eradicated. I will also be setting off two Pyrithium Bombs (Spelling) 5 days apart to get any eggs and living mites.

Thanks for any help

with as cheap as mylar is why not buy new? i dont know how your set up is, but if i had to scrub my mylar to the extent of killing any living organizms on it i'd probably rip it, on another subject ive never had a mite issue but i do have these fucking little lizards sneaking into the room to bask in my light, i hope there not nibbling on my ladies

hey ss420,

i scrub mine with bleach after every harvest. but as connisuer said it's ripped and pretty beat up by now. if there was a hydro store closer i would replace it. you still gotta go to groofus dot com and check out there forum. it's my friends band's site. go over there and check out the general discussion forum. turtle and scobbie do the same!

I wash mine with week bleach then wash them off after it dries. Mylar lasts about 2 years if you are good to it and installed it properly.
