another lights question, sorry

this question has probably been answered tons of other times, but i dont feel like looking it up, but w/e

i have four 40 watt cool white light bulbs, will these work for growing? please please please help me,

any advice is appreciated

i used them 4 a while plants grew ok in the veg stage but when i put them on 12/12 there wasent enough light and it started 2 die after 3 weeks in i wnnt a got a 400 watt son t agro light what a change that lihgt kicks ass

i now use my flo for my cuttings and seedlings there good for that
