Gave up weed when I was in my early 20's (I'm 40 now). A friend gave me some premium shit last week and now I can't remember why I ever quit! I can tell you one thing though, I won't make THAT mistake again!

What do you mean by energetic smoke? Is there any kind of pot that does not make you soooo tired??

Sativa dom. strains tend to give a person a more energetic high, all head stone, while Indicas tend to be couchlock, body stones.
I feel it all depends on what the smoker does. If you do something boring and unactive, sure, you'll get tired, but if you keep yourself busy, your mind stays busy, and you don't get as tired.
But hey, welcome after a 17yr hiatus! Damn brother, that's a long time and cannabis has changed a lot over the past 20yrs.
Peace.

Anyway, welcome back to it all!

I quit smoking for seventeen years, once. I think we had a drought because of The Great Depression, but I can't remember, it was my last life.
i went about 13 yrs w/o smoking, but thats cause i hadnt tried it yet until then. my longest break was a year, and it was nice to be back. but damn, 17 years? i was only like 2 yrs old when you quit. welcome back to the game.

Yup, same here, took about 15 years off. Good news, it's more expensive but you don't need to smoke a bag of it either.

23 year career choice (travelling the world, meeting new and exciting people...and shooting at some of them...only the bad ones)...where I signed a contract and had to "Just say no!" Ok, so I cheated once or twice in the beginning.
Anyway, a year ago, I got my papers, my watch, went home and fired up. Actually I went to Vancouver for a little retirement gift to myself.
The way I see it, I've got a lot of catching up to do!!!
And you're right, it has changed a bunch. Originally from Fla, I remember Panama Red, but better yet was the bright Colombian Gold we got along the gulf coast. $35-50/oz. Of course it was rarely as sticky and where would we be without Vaporizers today?
I will say this, no matter how sincere you are, like minded folks aren't inclined to trust a 40 y/o with a short haircut. It's hard to find a hook-up so I'm considering getting myself some 'magic beans' and gowing my own bean stalk.

I'm from the mid gulf coast originally (Venice/Sarasota) looking forward to visiting again. Still a lot of old folks I suppose....wait a minute...I'm gonna be one of them soon. I hope they're cool!

I took a 16+ year break. Aka, I was born and didnt start tokin until I was almost 17! Haha
But congrats on coming back to the fun side. We can all relate to how good that first high after ANY break is, but I can only imagine what it would be like after 17 full years.
Its like your first high all over huh?

I took a 3-4 year hiatus once. No particular reason for it, just lacked the motivation to go buy any, and it's not addictive so I wasn't jonesing or anything. I didn't really plan on it being such a long hiatus. It just kinda happened: the weeks became months, then the months became years. Amazing how time flies once you're in your 30s or older.
