What do you mean? I'm pretty sure your dentist will ease the pain. Just let them shoot you with two fillings of some sorta of anesthetic and you'll be fine. I never had my wisdom tooth pulled but when I was smaller I had to get another tooth pulled because my "replacement tooth" was growing and the original tooth wouldnt come out so I had to get it pulled. I got injected with something and didnt even feel it. And when I had to get a filling the light reflected everything that was happening and I was shocked that two needles took away the pain that I could've been feeling. Dont worry about the actual appointment. What you should be worrying about is the pain after the anesthetic wears off lol.

i had all 4 of my wisdom teeth surgically removed from under my other teeth(impounded) all at ounce and it wasnt all that bad just dont eat anything afterwards or drink through a straw. be real careful when you eat for the next couple of days and with a few pain killers you be fine just, and take it easy!g-luck man dont worry these things happen!

some dentists are sticklers with pain killers. If yours is cool just keep telling him the pain is so bad that it keeps you from sleeping.

whenever i got my wisdom teeth pulled i got percodans but friends have been given stronger meds too. it mostly depends on your mouth and how easy they come out but i'm sure you're all filled in by now from the x-rays. just set up the deal ahead of time while you're still able to talk so you get what you need. most doc's are pretty open to giving what the patient knows will work just don't be a druggy about it and feel no shame in knowing what works.
all 4 of mine came out in pairs and it wasn't bad at all. very little swelling and within half an hour of leaving the office i was slobbering a beer all over my shirt then drove 100 miles soon afterwards to get home...both times. so no worries...

Okay. From someone who has the top 2 out as well, I can let you in on all of the juicy details.
Now, there are 2 kinds of ways of removing the wisdom teeth. There is one, where it requires surgery and having to go to a specialist. That's where they have to cut into your gum line and jaw line to yank the teeth out. Then they stitch you up afterwards.
If you were lucky like me though, my wisdom teeth grew in and I had to just have a simple tooth extraction. No stitches though. Just a gaping hole in your mouth.
My bro had all 4 of his wsdom teeth out, sugery wise, and afterwards, he just had a simple prescription for T4's. He wasn't in a lot of pain either.
Me, I had the top 2 taken out. What he did, is he froze me up really good using a needle. Doesn't hurt anymore than a standard needle. I was frozen, couldn't feel anything. He went to work, tore them out of my mouth, done.
He gave me a prescription for t4's. I was not in a lot of pain afterwards. BUT, if you're really unlucky, you can get something called Dry Socket. That is where the blood clot doesn't hold, and air gets up in your nerves and causes the worst kind of pain ever. I mean it. I made a thread awhile back, and I would have taken a thousands paper cuts over the pain of dry socket.
To avoid dry socket, listen to yor doctor. Do not smoke for 12hrs, and do not rinse your mouth for at least 24hrs. I avoided both, and paid the price for it.
You won't be in a lot of pain, you shouldn't anyways, and if you are, it will be cured with standard painkillers. Most likely T4's.
Good .luck.

Well when I got my wisdom teeth pulled, I was getting 4 done and getting a mullar pulled. So that was 5 in all.THey just put me to sleep. And all's I got was some vicoden and motrin.
I read NoChowdre's post and the only reason they put me to sleep was because they had to open all four gum lines to get to the wisdom teeth.

Ouch! Goddamn, I bet you couldn't eat solids for a good month or so. That sounds harsh man, real harsh.

Depending on whether they are impacted or not, they'll give you gas if they are and novacaine if they're not. They should give you painpills, I've had so much work done on my mouth and so many teeth pulled, it isn't funny. I have $3000 worth of shit to be done on me now, two root canals and a crown. I have a lot of pain and my stupid fucking dentist wouldn't give me pain pills, he gave me some lame shit like ibuprofen. But I wouldn't worry. Just don't smoke either, it could cause a dry pocket, which is painful, until they tell you you can smoke. BUT DON"T WORRY the novacaine will probably be the most painful part...

Dont worry about it man..I had all 4 pulled at once....
They knock you out you wake up 10 seconds later and you go home with some codeine....
About a week later sometimes you have to have stitches taken out but sometimes not...

Don't take any aspirin for a few days before, or after the procedure - it prevents clottong and the gum tissue won't heal well with aspirin.
These days, they'll usually give you a Rx for tylelol and codeine for when the novacaine wears off.
The best dental painkiller is cocaine, but they're not allowed to use it.

Percocet is the way to go... Try getting them before you get them pulled so you can go to the dentist medicated.... Most dentists are paranoid about giving schedule 2 meds so you need to make sure they will... See your reg doc and ask to get a script...b
Vicodine [hydrocodon/Apap] is a good second choice, but for me Percs really block the pain message to the brain...
