Can someone tell me why there would be specs of green mold like substance in soil? It resembles Trichoderma which i think is benificial to soil but im not sure if you should be seeing spots of it in the soil. Is this caused by too much water or not enough drainage? Ill try and get a good picture of it as soon as possible

Gracias

you sure it's not just plan old alga? Green stuff growing on the top of the dirt with light hitting it I would bet is alga. You can cover it with kiddy play sand and that will stop the alga from growing.

Mold yes alga not really, plus it's easy to remove. Just use sand or cover the dirt. You can scrape it off to remove it or use 5% bleach to kill it and spray the soil. It will not harm the plant.
