My plants are 1 1/2 weeks old but they don't look like pictures posted on here. They are small, just the bottom leaves and then 1 set of top leaves.(oh and a small 2nd set of leaves, I just looked) Why are they so small? (maybe 1"1/2 across)   Someone please help, I'll see if I can get pictures posted.

Pic's would help...how much do you water?
Overwatering can slow growth. Are the leaves drooping?

1 1/2 weeks isn't all that long give it a lil more time and if your growing in soil then it will also take longer. Like jdog was saying you shouldn't over water them because the roots need some time to breath too so let it dry out a lil if they are soked.

What type of lighting are you using? That could also be an issue.

They are actually looking bigger and healthier than my last attempt. i just looked in on them, There are 9 plants. I'm using a 100w cfl. room size is 3'x3'x4or5' (its a closet with a sloping roof) The temperature is a mystery a little on the cool side (at least when the light is off) I plan on getting a stronger bulb, but cash has been real tight. I water them every other day, when the cups feel light. They are in 12 oz plastic cups and the leaves are pretty much straight out (not droopy) I think I'm goona get a thermometer and check the temp. I worry it might get a little too cold although we have it timed so that the light goes out during the day.(and it is on the 3rd floor...heat rises) We have the light on for 19 hrs a day. I recently moved them closer to the light, they actually look pretty beefy. but any suggestions are welcome! I'll check the temperature and post it. ALso should I have more wattage? Thanking you in advance...

Ok, I checked the thermometer and the temp dropped to 65 degrees over night and a high of 72 degrees. It's been really cold here like in the teens overnight, but it's supposed to warm up. They look good although I know the temp should be higher. The closet is really small there really is no room for a heater. so any suggestions? We keep the door open up here when were not here and it's really warm in the room. Should I have the light on longer?, I've read different opinions on how long the light should be on for. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks
