250 hps ballast

anyone know of where i can get the parts to build a cheap 250 watt hps ballast? or know of anyone with one they would get rid of? i've got a case of 10 phillips 250 hps bulbs an old friend gave me but i only have a old 600 watt mh ballast. thanks in advance

There are ballast kits available, but you may have to hit google to find them. Having said that, insidesun.com sells 250 HPS lights for $75.

any town of size has an electrical supply store. ask for components needed to light up your outdoor basketball court or a barn area that needs security lights...or whatever fits, if a story is even needed. my 1st light was a 250 that came from such a place and they even put it all together for me! but it really didn't save much money...
