Someone just called my cellphone saying i won, airline vouchers and 300$ into my checking account... funny thing is I dont even have a checking account, Sounds like a scam to me, what the fuck whered they get my cell number from damn it

i dont think it was a random call, cause they adressed me by name, plus i have been receiving alot of phone calls from this area code ive never heard of recently, and she had a really middle aged lady type voice haha

These people get your number from anywhere. Where that is, I have no clue, but they find them. I have people trying to sell me all kinds of crap on the phone. They know my name, home address, phone number, everything about me!

Even if you sign up for one little e-mail newsletter, or send away for something, or donate to something, other companies or people, actually sell your info. to them, so they can spam the shit out of you. It goes on and on, in a never ending cicle of crap.

My pops told me that and I believe it. I have people e-mailing me, telling me I just inherited $50,000. Now way! ME?! :rolleyes: Give me a break. People don't win money for doing absolutly nothing.

The laws have recently changed and telemarketers are now allowed to call your cell phone on your dime. Get your number put on the national do not call list.

They try to scam you and get your banking info so they can rip you off. They already have your name and phone number and now they need your account number. Which you don't have anyway, so no worries. If they call back, tell them to get fucked.
