does the window seal give enough lighting???

Depends on how long the window receives direct sun. You will also have to contend with people seeing it, daylight hours, cloudy days, covering it for forced flowering, stretching etc. I think it would be better in most circumstances to at least use fluoros in a grow box of some kind.

Every time someone tries to grow on a window sill, it looks like shit. Don't expect a good yield that way.

sill in day, light at night.Keep a consistency though.

If it is in consent sun on the sill when it is not under a light and has a regimented dark period then sure itll work. Some plants get a bit stressed by switching spectrums alot. If you want to risk a experiment do it up. I have never tryed it myself but like they said you would be a minority if is just as good.

it also depends where you live, i wouldnt dream of doing it because we get barely any light in the UK
