Not all of these are related to cannabis, but most are!

1: How does drinking alcohol before smoking a spliff affect the high? I've done this twice before, seemed to get more fucked, but on those two occasions I hadn't smoked for many weeks so am still undecided.

2: Do I have the most unreliable dealer in the world?

3: How do I get really fucked? Even though I usually get hold of the strongest skunk, my friends always get fucked before me. What's a good amount to put in (I usually get at least 10 spliffs out of an eighth)?

4: Why do cigarette companies put so much shit in them? Is radioactive materials, acetone, and metals really necessary?

5:* If smoking cigarettes is so dangerous, how come my dad smoked 80 a day for 15 years and doesn't have cancer. All my uncles are about 60 now and all of them were heavy smokers, some still are, and none have cancer.

6: Do you stand more chance of getting lung cancer if you smoke cheaper cigarettes, like Superkings? That stuff makes your throat raw!

7: I accidentally damaged my plant. I was supposed to put it in a bigger pot, but I accidently dropped it, and it snapped the top half of the little shoot that started growing. Despite that, I still put it in a deeper pot to support it and it doesn't look dead. Will it be ok?

8: Can someone work the notes out for "Fat Joe - My Lifestyle" as I've been trying for months unsuccessfully. Just the lead bit and the bridge bit. I want to play it on synth and impress a friend next time I get him high!

* I've smoked up to 10 a day for 5 years. Getting incredibly worried about cancer. A pack of 20 lasts me 3-4 days.

1)If I drink before I smoke I normally get seriously wrecked.....If i'm already wasted from drinking and I smoke a joint I normally feel the need to pass out and/or puke....lol....it really depends how much I have drunk though....
However if I smoke then drink I am noramlly ok.

2)mmmm....dont personaly know your dealer.....no probably not.

3)Do "buckets".....they always seem to get me extremly high!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gravity_bong#Bucket_method

4)I honestly have NO idea.....it sucks

5) some people are more prone to cancers than other....smoking aggrevates the cancer cells(which we all have in us) and it's really just a matter of time untill they start to go crazy on us....if your that worried about cancer quit smoking cigs! (lol although that is easier said than done!)

6) depends what is in them i expect....again it depends how prone you are to getting cancer...some people can smoke the strongest cigs all their life and not get cancer and then some can just get cancer from being passive smokers.....(How prone you are to cancer is normally genetic, however you never know wher your gunna get it!)

7) Don't know dude....seedling stage is possible the most sensitive stage in their growth....streesing them out then can have dire effects of their growth and other factors.....lol....possibly better to ask in the growing section, and include pics if poss.

8) try getting the tabs for it....search for the name of the song - tabs on google or somthing

LOL....dont know how much I will have helped....took me ages to write this hilst having 2 other conversations inbetween so some of it might not make much sense :)

Thanks for taking your time to reply. :)

It's just that these days, with the banning of smoking everywhere and anti-tobacco adverts I'm starting to get really scared. My mum said I should gradually cut down, but if I cut down any more I'll stop completely! I am trying to give up, but I like it too much!

That stupid song is irritating me. Can't find the sheet music, can't read tabs anyway as I'm a keyboard player, and there's not a single midi file out there! I wish I could play by ear better!

1. The only thing I know of about mixing booze and weed is... DONT DO IT! I got pissed one night at my (fit) cousins 21st, then when me and dad got back to the b+b in Cornwall I lit up a spliff. Shortly after, I puked, got mega-sweaty and shaky, then promptly fell asleep.
2. Dunno. I ring my dealer, say how many apples I want then he says 'Im picking up in 30, ring you back then'. Two hours later, he rings back saying that hes gonna be another 30 mins... now, I just grow my own. Cheaper, easier, safer.
3. 10 spliffs for an eighth?! Fuck me, I usually make about 4 maximum, sometimes 2 (if I want a pure smoke).
4. Yes. Theyre out to kill you. EVERYONES OUT TO KILL YOU!!!
5. Some people just dont get cancer, but most do.
6. No idea.
7. Stick a splint or something in the soil, then rest the broken stem on top of the good stem. Tie it with some string (loosely, but not too loose - Im sure you can judge how much) and within a couple of weeks it will have healed.
8. Huh?

1. A study was designed to examine the effects of marijuana and alcohol when taken alone and in combination on human skills performance and mood.
2. Four dosage conditions were employed for each drug (placebo and three active doses). All possible combinations of these dosage conditions were tested (ie 16 dosage groups).
3. Twenty subjects were used for each dosage group, the experiment employing 320 subjects in all. Each subject attended the laboratory on one occasion only.
4. Data collected were for psychomotor performance using a battery of computer-presented tests, mood effects, subjective assessments of the nature and degree of intoxication, and the subjective assessment of the effects of the drugs on driving skills and willingness to drive a motor vehicle.
5. The performance battery included tests of human skills related to those considered necessary to drive a motor vehicle with safety.
6. The population sample were recruited by advertisements on two Sydney "Rock music" FM radio stations. All volunteers were non-naive as regards marijuana use and were indeed heavy to very heavy users of this drug. The extent of alcohol use by the volunteers was considered to be within the normal range of use of this drug within the community.
7. The attitudes expressed concerning the dangers associated with the use of the two drugs indicated that the population sample was heavily biased against alcohol and in favor of marijuana
8. The subjective assessment of the doses of each drug employed indicated that they were comparable. The subjects assessed the degree of intoxication by marijuana as being of a similar intensity as that produced by alcohol. The doses selected therefore appear to be relevant to those used within the social experience of the volunteer population
9. Both drugs produced significant dose-dependent effects on the performance measures, on the intoxication rating scales and on some of the mood measures.
10. However, there were both quantitative and qualitative differences between these effects, both on the performance measures and on the subjective mood effects of the two drugs.
11. By far the major effects on these tests were those produced by alcohol.
12. The effect on skills performance of alcohol and marijuana when taken in combination was essentially one of addition. Marijuana tended to increase the intensity of the performance impairment produced by alcohol. However there was evidence to suggest that the lowest dose of marijuana produced a degree of antagonism of the effects of alcohol.
13. Marijuana had no effect on the absorption or metabolism of alcohol. The blood alcohol concentration was not affected by any of the doses of marijuana used.
14. The results of this study indicate clearly that alcohol and marijuana are distinctly different drugs. The effects produced on the performance measures were qualitatively and quantitatively different. In addition, the differences in the nature of the drug-induced subjective intoxication and the self-reported changes in mood effects such as anxiety and alertness, strongly suggested different drug actions.
15. The ability to discriminate and assess the degree of intoxication with alcohol was not affected by marijuana. However, the ability to assess the intoxication due to marijuana was greatly affected by alcohol. The subjective intoxication produced by marijuana appears to be of a more subtle nature than that produced by alcohol.
16. Evidence is presented which suggests that under the influence of alcohol, subjects engage in a "speed-accuracy trade-off". They are prepared to make a hasty response to a question rather than to spend more time to ensure a correct answer. This effect could be related to a risk-taking behaviour. The results with marijuana on the other hand suggested a slower and more careful approach to the problem, though as with alcohol, an increased error rate in responses was recorded.
17. Evidence is presented which suggests that marijuana produces periodic attentional lapses.
18. The results strongly suggest that the performance deficits and mood changes produced by alcohol are of a greater magnitude than those produced by marijuana.
19. Recommendations for directions of further research are made.

As a general rule, if my dealer doesn't turn up within 20 minutes of placing the first call, he'll never turn up! It is as if he doesn't want to deal. 30 minutes quickly becomes another 30 minutes, until he stops answering his phone completely!

Interesting, but since I don't drink any more it doesn't really apply to me. In my own experiments I found the high hit me quicker, but I hadn't really drank more than a can of lager or a glass of wine.
