Can the post office open anything they want?
If not can they open anything at all?
And anyone who has worked at the post office, do they have dogs on duty regulary?
Like how safe is it to actualy use M.O.M?

No, they can't open anything unless they suspect something inside is illegal, or the mail is undeliverable for whatever reason. If a dog sniffs it out then yes, they can probably open it, but no, they do not have dogs in the post office very often, if ever. They have alot more important things to be doing than looking for drugs inside domestic packages.

I would be willing to differ with you on that note.... I knew a undercover decetive who routinley took his dog into FedX-DHL-and the post office... once a week to each location (main hub that is). All private carriers can open anything at anytime they want.... Read the paper work when you send anything with them, however the post office (Us Mail) is a government service which i believe needs a federal warrant to open anything (dont quote me on that). Just be extra carefull on what you ship, wrap double wrap and tripple wrap everything.... If it is liquid then make sure it is wrapped so it will not leak... Anything wet will be a flashing sign to have it looked at.
If at all possible when you send something then send it by Express mail, you get next day delivery and a tracking #. You will always know where it is and if it got held up somewhere... If its late then take it as a loss.... Its better to be safe then sorry.............
