This is my setup, first grow, well technically 3rd because the ones i grew previously died because i did not have a good light and ventilation so hoping this time around will work. i'm growing in soil with coco fiber, vermiculite, and perlite in jiffy pots. i germed them in a paper towel then planted them. lt has a 20m watt cfl running 24hr.
I have a 400 watt mh conversion bulb that i will use when the seeds sprout. It is a white widow from Nirvana
any suggestions? much appreciated:D

Looks excellent. You'll find that the HID lamps are totally worth the money. Although I still prefer HPS ;-) Props to you! Good luck!

Hi,

Thanks for your comments, I will update this when they sprout which hopefully won't take long.

I also will germinate papaya and white widow when they arrive 4 of each you think thats too much? So 12 all together will that be too many plants under a 400 watt mh light? I'v seen Mand's journal and she had 16 plants under a 400 watt light and they seemed fine.
By the way great job Mand:thumbsup:

Hello 12345678qw :) ................ Oh dear please give me a name of somesorts, I can't call anyone a number :o

Well an excellent choice of lights, the MH and the HPS is said by most to be the best lights available for growing, I tend to agree with this but I have seen on here some excellent grows by other lighting systems.

I wouldn't worry about giving them light untill they poke their heads through the soil. I just keep them in the house on a shelf untill I see one sprout through the soil and then I stick it straight under the MH, they love the MH at that stage, they really do thrive on all the "blue light" it gives off ;)

Can I just ask because I can only see four pots, have you got more than one seed in a pot ? ................. The thing is really it should be one seed to one pot, because the root system on cannabis plants is a very exstensive one and they will very soon get tangled together.
I think the best thing to do at this stage is to wait untill they have sprouted and as soon as they are "coming along", get them transplanted to their own individual pots.

As for the numbers, Out of twelve plants I would expect around seven females on average and a 400 watt light should manage that number pretty well;)

I'm sorry to hear about the failure of you're previous grows but don't worry, lets have these ones going all the way to a good harvest ;) :)

Hi,

Mand as you said in your post, I have one seed in each pot, but plan on germinating 8 more but I haven't received my order yet. So hopefully they will arrive pretty soon.

Thanks for your watchfullness of that!

Hello :) , I just wondered with only seeing the four pots :o and you know it's supprising how many times I've seen on here people putting more than one seed to a pot.

Anyway, you've got the right equipment so good luck with the grow :)

Hello,

Well all of the seeds popped out today, one of them looks like it's stretching  because I didn't put the mh light on them fast enough. Now they are all under the mh light running 18/6. So here are some pics that I promised of them sprouting.

Still waiting for my white rhino and papaya seeds to arrive so I can grow them too! Can't wait!
