I was driving in the middle of fucking no-where in NY state and some cop pulled me over for doing "80" in a 65 zone. I'm not from NY, so my plates are out of state and where I'm from, you're allowed to do about 5-10 mph more than the limit, and thats probably where I was.
I don't really get their ticket system, but I have to plead guilty because I can't drive out there for a trial. So cop that pulled me over and then tried to drive away with my license and registration...if you happen to read this...FUCK YOU!
And people, don't speed in New York State, all those cops are State police and they deffinetly don't give out warnings!

that stabbin shit sounds fucked up. Most cops are crooked. They can lick my balls. They speed all the fucking time. How many times do see a cop blow by you without the lights on and how many do you see a a few cop cars just sitting side by side... knowing that they are getting paid ... they just sit around and chit chat. FUCK THEM! Waste of my tax money if ya ask me. This post is only for cops who abuse their power.

Sounds like you got pulled over for a good reason and got what you deserved. Doesn't matter if it's a deserted road. If you were pissed drunk on a deserted road with no one to harm, does that make it okay then...? No, it's still illegal.
I don't see why you're complaining. Just pay the ticket and move on in life.

Hahaha, where did you get pissed drunk from? I was completely sober and I got a speeding ticket. I understand speeding is illegal, but I was just pissed that I got a ticket. ps. Do you drive?

I was using it in comparison. Drinking and driving is illegal, so is speeding...see the comparison...? I understand being mad about it, but it's your fault, not his, so fuck you, for speeding. :)
P.S-Stay out of business. :)

My mum got a parking ticket today for parking in a disabled space at Uni (well, all the other spaces were taken and the closest place to park was like a mile away... and the disabled spaces are never full, so fuck it). Anyway, she kept the little sticky packet that the ticket came in... so I filled it with some tissue (CLEAN!) and stuck it on someones windscreen. Lol, when me and my dad got back to the car about an hour later, the peeps that owned the other car came back aswell... the womans face had to be seen to be believed!
Best prank Ive ever done. Next time, Ill put it on someones car I dont like and shit in the little packet.

LMAO. I heard that state troopers don't like marijuana, at all. As a matter of fact, I had to pay a possession ticket for a bowl.
But, still, 80 is not 5-10 MPH over the speed limit.
You should have had a radar detector.
Man, I'm healed!!!
For now...

i dont know what state youre from but no state has a law where youre "allowed to drive 5-10 mph over the speed limit" thats why its called a speed LIMIT.
i got caught for speeding 25 mph over the limit in florida. i ended up just paying the $200 fine but i should have just not paid it because i live over 1,300 miles away from florida and its not like im ever going to drive down there again. i say if you dont live near new york, dont pay the fine and write a letter back to the police department and tell them to go fuck themselves and if they want the money for your fine, tell them to come drive to your house and get it themselves. i hate cops, those fuckin pigs.

15+ mph over the limit most anywhere in the U.S. is asking for trouble...
5 to 10 mph over usually works out ok, but one should be aware that some states don't allow any tolerance for going over the speed limit.
Even in states that do allow some leeway, that leeway only applies if one does not admit speeding ... if one admits violating the limit, even if only by 1 mph over, can be ticked and will likely lose if they challenge the ticket...
Officers rely on ignorance ... they pretty much count on the driver admitting violating the speed limit ... officers generally dislike going to court ... it's a hassle and there's a decent chance the ticket will be thrown out; this is often why an officer will ask "do you know why I pulled you over?" and/or "do you know how fast you were going?" ... most people will basically admit guilt in answering such questions making the officers job easier, and giving them confidence that the ticket won't be challenged.
I've driven a lot in NY state and personally feel they should raise the speed limits on many of their interstate highways to 70 or even 75 (at least during summer months) ... in PA on the other-hand, 65 mph max is about right (=75 in reality) ... driving 80 mph on many PA roads is suicide LOL!
sdffa11- not paying an out state ticket is a bad idea ... you did the right thing to pay it.
Many states have reciprocal agreements with other states; some jurisdictions contract out with collection agencies.
Be glad you weren't required to post bond to guarantee payment of the ticket ... the police in many jurisdictions (usually small towns that rely on traffic tickets for revenue) can and will do that for out of state drivers; most AAA members can avoid that potential hassle and substantial delay by presenting a card guaranteeing bond by AAA for minor speeding violations.

I really don't get why people like you complain. You were going 15mph over the speed limit and you got a ticket instead of a warning, you were going 80mph, where's the big suprise? I would bitch if I got one for goin 5 over, but 80, no wonder.
