I am gonna document a shrooms grow for you guys. I've obtained a spore syringe from Mindzeyecreations (a trustworthy memeber) and will begin taking pics of the setup, steps on how to make a good substrate, sterilization and of course innoculation. Over the course of a few weeks the substrate will be fully colonized by the fungus mycelium. When this happens, they will be moved to the fruiting chamber for all of us to watch :)

Peace Out!

T. Peruvianus has a higher mescaline content, just so you know

besides that, cactus growing is extremely easy... simply go to local shop and buy cactus potting sand... water with 1/2 reccomended amount of shultz cactus juice and voila! You've got a healthy cactus

Thanks man for the info. My son said he would like to get some cactus and some shrooms. I told him I would grow the cactus and he said he would grow the shrooms. We both have a MJ grow going (a little competition) so far mine is doing a little better hahahahahahaha.

Substrate:

2 cups vermiculite
1 cup brown rice flower
1 cup water

mixed well, 6oz packed into a half pint canning cars with an extra layer of vermiculite on top. Then you place tin foil over the tops and set them in water (about halfway up on the jars) and boil them for an hour and a half to sterilize... wait for them to cool, then inject spores... sorry I couldn't get pics, now I am waiting for mycelium to colonize. Pics at the first sign of some :D

Pic #1: Sterile, innoculated substrate jars. We wait 20 days, then once the rice cake is fully colonized by the mycelium they will be transferred to the high-humidity fruiting chamber in Pic #2... Within a month of their "birthday" they will have given several flushes of beatiful psychadelic mushrooms for me to eat :)

Growing on Brown rice flour produces weak (in comparison to other substrates) and small shrooms.

You are better off with bird seed and casing it, not making brf cakes or spawning it onto horse or cow shit, much bigger stronger shrooms (don't have to use shit if you dont want to)

I tried growing shrooms about 10 years ago,but the set up my friend gave me was infested with fungal knats and lots o larva!gross.I chucked it.

It would be the easiest thing to grow ever, if it wasn't for the need of 100% sterility during the process (And if using hay/straw/dung as substrates you need to pastuerize.

However if you are in a climate where you can grow em outdoors nature takes care of all the contaminantes for you!

Well, this is for mostly personal use. And I think we all know mushies grow much faster then one can consume
