Here's my first piece of Fractal Art. It took me a long time to do this... I plan on doing more and more of these because they look stunning.

Fractal art is art created by a very complex math equation. You have to have a program to run the equation and help you change it unless you have years to spend on each picture...

NOTE:

Do not use this program if you have an old computer. It is very CPU intensive, especially when you're saving an image file. Even with a relatively fast computer, it can take anywhere from 1-100 hours to save one of these as an image file.

Seriously, don't even begin to judge these by the small pic in the post. Click on them to see the full-size versions. Something about cannabis.com's method of squishing them down make them blurry.

Fractals are generated by an equation using the square root of negative 1. Because it is not possible to square a negative number using real numbers we have a thing called the imiginary number: i. So the square root of -9=3i. Fractals are generated by a complex vectoring systems made up of entirely nonreal numbers.

Have you figured out how to use the program Penguin or do you just try random numbers? I'm having a hard time getting some interesting full screen fractals, some really cool swirl designs but nothing that really draws you in to infinite or anything inspiring.

Basically it means that they are infinately complex. You can zoom in on them forever, and they will still get more and more complex, you will see branches going out where you thought there were none before, etc.

Just made this one.. I think that it's fucking sick. The blue in the center is incredible. I had just smoked a few bong rips then I turned on the Radiohead and the program and started going to town. I love the picture. I call it "twirl".
