Remember Yoshi's Island for snes when yoshi would touch the fuzzies and start tripping dude thats just one more thing by nintendo that hints at major drug usage by the developers!

Nope, they are amanita muscaria which does not contain psilocybin but is psychoactive. They produce effects more sedative/dream-like than stimulant psychedelic.
