Okay, I gotta vent

Sorry guys, but as the title suggests, I'm gonna vent. I'm not trying to hook up, as we all should show some prudence on this board, but i have to vent.

I've been dry for a couple of months now, and haven't had a steady source for almost two years. I'm the kind of guy that will make things as easy as possible for the supplier, opening my availability beyond rational means (inconveniencing the people that matter in my life) and willing to meet or drive wherever. I haven't met a lot of people since returning to Dallas (I lived in Boston for eight years).

So my one "kinda" source WAS a friend, is not shady or dishonest, just completely unreliable. We'll set something up for a certain time, and then he doesn't call or answer the phone so I feel completely undignified trying to get a hold of him when he and is slob wife know damn well how desparate I am. I would never do that to friend--I would go overboard to keep a commitment.

The next guy I just met a couple of weeks ago. His friend does this for a living, but is so paranoid that he's not taking on new customers. He said he'd give the guy my number, but nothing yet.

I really am the easiest guy in the world when it comes to these arrangements, but all I want is to purchase a product. I don't want to negotiate a discount, and I'm not into the whole "I don't have any for sale, but you can come over and..." Uh sorry, no. Imagine a wine merchant refusing to sell you a bottle of merlot, "but we could open a bottle and have a glass together." I'm not in the scene anymore, and don't really wanna be. Like I said, I just want to purchase a product.

Sorry for the attitude and bitterness, but it's frustrating when there's something out there that could make my life more enjoyable and I have no access. Thanks for reading...

It's particularly frustrating when you know there is ganja literally all around you... I was stuck in traffic Thursday and happened to look down at the pavement beside my car, and there sat a pkg of ZigZags wrapped up in a cellophane bag, I distinctly saw green residue in the bag. About a month ago I was at a stoplight and two cars behind a carload of kids who were blazing away, I was downwind of them and could smell the smoke mixed with their air freshener. At least once a week I pass someone on the highway who is BLATANTLY puffing away on either a pipe, blunt, or roach - of course I'm doing 70mph and can't just stop in the middle of I-10 and ask the guy if he has some herbs he can part with... F**k!

I definitely understand your frustration, attitude and bitterness, B-stone. It's a f*#@ing plant, it shouldn't be such a pain in the ass to acquire! I finally broke down and started doing the M.O.M thing...

When I did git gifts of compassion in the mail,I wound up gittin visited by the task force here and the postal inspector and an un-identified fed and wound up gittin busted for about 5 or 6 grams,in my stash box. My court date for arraignment is set for the 28th of this month and I'm trying to decide if I want to make it a medical marijuana issue,which it is. I've already talked to the president of NORML and a lawyer listed for this area,the president says that he will organize a protest on my behalf and the lawyer says that I'll probably wind up with deferred adjudication,which is just a fancy way of pleading no contest.

Sorry about your misfortune. I used to think that it shouldn't be legalized solely because most legal drugs can be worse. But the truth is, between the difficulty of aquisition and the ridiculous consequences for acquisition/possession, it's frusterating that law enforcement doesn't spend their time on more important things.

A protest is the way to go. Call your local newspaper and/or TV station and let them know. You never know, they might put you on the news. A little publicity may be a good thing, and help spread the word about legalization, or at least decriminalization. It may be a good step forward in our battle.

Well..they tricked me into opening the door,by having a young task force feller in plainclothes knock on the door,I thought it was a friend who lives here and didn't realise who was really at the door..I actually opened the door and said "wassup ?"..then my eyes focused and I realized that it was someone else..he pulled a badge out from under his t-shirt and said "we need to talk to you about some marijuana you've been gittin at the post office.."..then he waves to his fellow pigs and next thing I know,I'm standing in the living-room with about 8 fellers..it sucked man. They visited me,the same mornin that the latest package had arrived. I wasn't doing mom,I was gittin gifts of compassion,from folks who wanted to simply ease my back pain,with no expectation of payment. The un-identified fed,realized that the amounts were so small,that it wasn't worth charging me..thank goodness..however,he did warn me against tellin my story on-line..that part is creepy.

The advice for mom,is that when ya git the package,you should write 'Return to sender' on it,right away..then set it over to the side-like yer fixing to take it back to the post office and wait a couple of hours or so. Once you you feel it's safe,then open the package,retrieve the contents and destroy the packaging and throw it away.

However-I wouldn't blame ya,if you just opened the package right away and threw the packaging away asap..lol..that's probably what most folks do.

Yup..this whole event has certainly made me more paranoid,and I wish that I had the money to invest in some counter-surveillance gear,so I could better ensure my privacy. I'm also glad that the task force here,has lost it's federal funding and is being dis-banded at the end of March,it'll be down to just one narc for the county and one for the city,lol. I have a feeling,that many other folks besides me here,have had bad experiences with the task force and it serves em right that they're being dis-banded..mwaahhahah !:dance:

I reckon that I'm gonna cut a few inches off my hair and maybe a couple inches off my beard,so I won't look like the county's biggest pothead,before my court date coming up on Tuesday at 9 am.

MILL VALLEY, Calif. - A man who allegedly mailed a half-pound of marijuana without an address label on the package was arrested after authorities returned it to its sender.

Steven Coburn, 48, of Mill Valley was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of drug possession for sale and investigators found another 1 1/2 pounds of marijuana worth $10,000 at his home behind Tamalpais High School, said Det. Matt Lethin of the Marin County Major Crimes Task Force.

The private Corte Madera shipping company where Coburn tried to mail the package on Feb. 16 followed company protocol by opening the package to see whether the label was accidentally sealed inside, Lethin said.

"Once they opened it up and saw what was inside, they immediately called law enforcement," Lethin said.

Investigators said they are not sure whether Coburn forgot to affix the address label or it fell off, but it had a return address on it that led to Coburn.

He was booked into Marin County Jail and posted bail. A court date was set for March 8.

i went to the Arlington jail over off of Division street where i posted bail and got my car out of impound. as of right now i am on probation for 2 years (no smoking) and i have yet to get a court date in the mail but it is coming.

some people say they have all the bad luck???? try getting charged with

possession of marijuana 4oz - 5pounds with the intent to distribute.

Have you tried gittin in touch with the lawyers listed at the NORML site for Dallas/Ft.Worth Chapter ? I talked with 2 of em,Lowe was one and LeNoir was the other,Lenoir said that he prefers cases like your's,that simple possesion wasn't really worth his time. I was also gonna call Lechtenberger,who offers a free consultation and the number for that-can be found at his web site,under drugs,I believe.

So..you went to arraignment,and the judge gave you probation until yer trial ? I have a hearing on the 28th and was wonderin what the heck they plan on doing to me there,I plan on tellin the judge that I'm 100% disabled and that I need a lawyer to negotiate the terms of probation and community service,if I plead no contest..otherwise,I may want to see about suppressing the evidence,as it was taken during a 'knock and talk',during which-I felt like I was under duress to comply.

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers:) ..and pray that you can put the screws back at the bastards. :mad:

i already have a lawyer trying to reduce probation and possibly keep me out of jail when i get my court date. the bastard is a waste of money i think i talked to him once in 2 months so whatever that means i hope i make it to the end of this situation sane.

Yeah i had a lawyer that i thought was a jackass. He ended up getting me off probation and got an intent to distribute charge dropped. The better the lawyer the better the deal you'll get. As fars as not smoking. Don't give up... the longer you go without smoking the better that first toke will be. Imagine, You'll get to feel what its like to first smoke again. Thats what i did. I has so happy I smiled during the whole stone:D

but 2 years man?? come on lol thats just crazy talk. then again my grandpa has come across 7 million and has to go to court to get it back. won first trial and they are ruleing on the appeal right now, he has all paperwork needed so its guaranteed he wont lose it. im getting a ford lightning and a new mustang and he will give me money for whatever i want. 2 years might not be a bad thing because in the mean time im stocking up on glass one of a kind artwork to smoke nothing but dro on when probation is off. its going to be great but for now the man has me beat down to my knees

You sure it wasn't 2 years and a minimum of 6 months? thats what they gave me and i was off it in 9 months. Goodbehavior and clean piss is how you get off. Eventually the meetings will be about 5 minutes long and you and your p.o. will have nothing to talk about. Then they figure " We can't throw this guy in jail, might as well let him off." Thats how its supposed to happen. But more often than not people keep smoking and dig giant holes for themselves with their drug testings and end up fucked. So either quit smoking or never fail a drug test.

i think i got a paper in the mail saying the minimum of 6 months - 2years but at the pretrial... wait a sec im not even all to sure she said 2 years for sure i think she might have just tried to scare me with it or tell me i could get 2 years. im not to sure i was higher than hell talking to her and failed a drug test then so im not to sure she wont answer or return calls. if it has the chance for a 6month minimum i dont think id get it anyways because the charge, you also said you wasnt busted with much right?

Wasn't much but it was on school grounds which makes it a felony. You probably have a 6months and if you get good grades, no problems/dirty screens they will let you off as soon as they can.
