*A Citrus Explosion of Orange and Lemon*
The pollination of my notorious 'Orange Velvet' with Subcool's infamous 'Jack The Ripper' (direct offspring of the 'Jack's Cleaner')... is currently taking place.
Let's take a peak at the 'Jack The Ripper' male choosen to complete the project.

When the female is 3-4 weeks into flower, she will be prime for pollination.
A male is ready when his balls start getting plump & dangling. Care must be taken, as a male can have a few premature sacs. Males will continue to produce balls.
Subcool and I are still trying to decide on a name for the combination of our two strains.
Any suggestions?

We allow our females to remain in a remote room with the male for about 5 days. When the female becomes pollinated her pistils will begin to wither.
We wash our females with water after the pollination process is complete, taking care to rinse soil & the pot as well. The water will deactivate any unused pollen, making the plant safe to return to the main flowering room.
Check out the pollen falling like magic dust. Fine particles attaching themselves to the sticky pistils of the female. Soon her bracts will become swollen with tiny seeds... the start of a new strain!

HAHAHAHA "Jack in a Velvet Orange Overcoat" is just great.
I think Velvet Revolver wasn't a half bad one, aside from being a ripoff.

well since jack herer is usually not known for being "fruity" maybe you should call it Fruity Jack or Fruity Jack's :-)

hey MzJill, if your name is Jill than maybe the new strain could be called Jack&Jill?
