Hey guys,
I just put up a bunch of Mylar 2mm film in my growroom and I am looking to run around 2000 watts and about 20 plants. I have a few questions I was looking for some help with...

1) Does the effectiveness of Mylar diminnish as the distance from the walls to the plants increases? We have a 200 sq ft room we are looking to use, it is completely covered in mylar minus the floor and ceiling, so would spacing out the plants allow us to creat more "tree like" plants by allowing the light to penetrate more of the plants side surface?

2) Will running two 1000 watt HPS/MH lights sufice for this size room and plant numbers? Also how many ballists would we need for these and can you make any brand recomendations for the both?

3) Would anyone recomend light movers and if so what brand and length for a room that is about 20 feet in length?

Thanks so much for any input...

zandor is away on vacation but will be back soon...in the meantime;

i use flat white paint but have used mylar in the past and found the most efficeint way of using either is by keeping them (i use portable walls) as close to the edge of the growing area as possible. and spacing will help but the lower branches don't get much anyway so i think it's best to use them as clones and concentrate on the canopy.

2kw is a bit overkill for 20 plants, if ya ask me. not much, but you'll have room for another 6 or so easily. or cut off a few and use only 1 1kw. i do the same amount (20-25) but under 2 430's and bring in a 1kw for flowering.

light movers are a major addition! wish i had one now and probably will for next winter's grow. until then i'll let someone else answer that one...
